In a sign that the Ukrainian counteroffensive has been advancing, the annexed region's Moscow-installed head Vladimir Saldo has asked Russia to help evacuate residents from the whole area.
(snip)
But as Zelensky's men continue their lightning counteroffensive, they are said to be narrowing in the occupied Black Sea city.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) confirmed Russia was preparing to evacuate civilians in the Kherson region suggesting the possibility that Russian troops will attempt to consolidate a new front line west of the village of Mylove after retreating about 12 miles in the north of the Kherson sector earlier this month.
It said in its daily update: "Heavy fighting continues along this line, especially at the western end where Ukrainian advances mean Russia’s flank is no longer protected by the Inhulets River.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin's crumbling army is said to be refusing to fight and disobeying orders amid "extremely low morale," the Kyiv Independent reports.
Ukraine's General Staff reported that Russian forces have received orders to stop the offensive in some front-line areas.
The reason behind it is "the extremely low morale and psychological condition of the recruits, numerous facts of desertion, and refusing to obey combat orders."

How’s the weather over there? Getting cold yet? LOL.
Is that the same Russian appointee who claimed everything was fine but was actually broadcasting from within Russia?
One might think the morale would be higher if the russians were actually welcomed by the locals. Seems like they aren’t.
Oh come on! This is over the top, even for you.
Most Russian soldiers know in their hearts that their country is in the wrong. They are not motivated to fight.
“Oh come on! This is over the top, even for you.”
You can always tell an American who was weaned on our MSM. The British press is much more honest and willing to tell truths that our media is not.
The Russian army is looking increasingly brittle. The missile barrage didn’t do the damage they hoped it would. The new troops aren’t going to turn the tide.
When the tide shifts it will shift quickly.
I am sure they had 300,000 pairs of good winter boots laying around for those conscripts.
Cue the comments about how “the Russians are used to having frozen feet because WWII.”
But that’s OK. Their fingers and ears will freeze first.
Did anyone in the Kremlin seriously believe that rocket-bombing chiefly civilian targets would do anything to advance the Russian war effort?!
Puh-leez!
Regards,
Russian soldiers know the war is for nothing more than “Make Benefit Glorious Ego of Putin”
Anyone objectively looking at this situation knows this statement is bolderdash. Russia is trouncing Ukraine and the ‘conscripts’ are not even in the theater yet. Western media reports and CIA bots are trying so hard to tell us what we don’t see.
It’s desperation. If they can’t eek out a victory this war will end the regime.
How many people in Kherson identify as Russian citizens?
Those who evacuate will be relocated to the Donbas to increase the pro-Russian population there.
Russia has gone soft. Where are the political officers who shoot retreaters?
“Russia is trouncing Ukraine”
They are trouncing from afar by leveling schools, hospitals and killing people going to work.
“Russia is trouncing Ukraine?” How did you come to that conclusion? Over the past month Ukraine has been advancing and Russia retreating. That doesn’t seem like “trouncing” to me.
You don't see the Russians retreating?
The Ukrainians will be so shocked by the Ukrainian winter.
Certainly the theater is full of blended news info, but we’re not seeing too much in the way of Russian initiatives and ground taking. Missiles randomly lobbed into cities is not a very convincing message of projected power.
