Hard on its landmark victories for judicial and Constitutional integrity last term, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments this month on two cases challenging admissions policies at Harvard and the University of North Carolina. If decided rightly, both cases should lead to the banning of unconstitutional, discriminatory racial preferences in university admissions.
After years of previous cases in which the Supreme Court tried various work-arounds to avoid stopping discrimination, maybe this year the Justices will get it right.
From its beginning in the 1978 decision Regents of the University of California vs. Bakke, the jurisprudence of subsequent cases have, as Justice Clarence Thomas’ dissent in the 2003 Grutter vs. Bollinger case put it, “refus[ed] to define rigorously the broad state interest” served by “diversity,” and thus demonstrate specifically the “educational benefits that flow from student body diversity,” as Justice Anthony Kennedy in Fisher v. University of Texas (2016) vaguely defined that “compelling state interest” allegedly justifying discrimination on the basis of race.
As we’ve seen for 44 years, this vacuum created by the lack of clarity about what “diversity” is exactly, and how it specifically enhances educational outcomes, has been filled by illiberal ideology and factional politics that serves partisan purposes rather than educational ones. The “diversity,” then, that courts, businesses, educational institutions, and government trade in is so broad and simplistic that it guarantees the concept will be used to pick political and racial winners and losers.

I hope not. Diversity is our strength.
Even if the SCOTUS rules against Afro-mative Action, these schools have “work arounds” in place.
Equality vs Equity, big difference.
To stop discrimination - stop discriminating!
The idea that diversity is a good thing in itself is flawed. You simply can’t prove it....particularly if it’s FORCED diversity.
Homogenous cultures are better.
Iceland and Japan get it.
I hope not. Diversity is our strength.
Forced diversity in personnel of a team is often both contamination away from best possible excellence and the lowering of the quality of outcome while increasing the time it takes to achieve this lower product or service.
The lowest common denominator grounds all boats in the harbor.
Do you want coast to coast riots?
‘Diversity’ is an OBSTACLE TO OVERCOME... Not a goal to be achieved.
-Ann Coulter
[and shut up you “Ew I hate her” knee jerkers... That statement is an absolute gem]
Yes please. 🤔😲
Forced diversity promotes the idea that whites are supremier and minorities cannot possibly compete and the only way to get others is to severely tip the scales. The interesting thing is, the kind if organizations that enthusiastically support this such as universities are already 100% left wing, so who exactly is discriminating against minorities at universities? I think most corporations put up with this nonsense out of fear of lawsuits and do these kind of hires for lawsuit insurance. It is cheaper to pay a group of non productive fake diversity degreed people to do fake jobs than to pay a gaggle of lawyers to defend litigation
😎👍
There is no rational argument for affirmative action. It’s discrimination, and that should not be allowed.
Affirmative Racism must end.
We already have that...
Reject, do not hire, or do not promote someone because of their race so that you can accept, hire or promote someone less qualified because of their race. Makes a lot of sense.
There is no benefit whatsoever in diversity.
America would be much better off if it were more like Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Italy etc. The so called diversity is just another word for affirmative action, reverse discrimination and legalizing crime to benefit those that commit the most crimes.
Too bad we can’t forcibly repatriate all those persons who were taken from their ancestral homelands against their will.
This absolute CRAP needs to STOP ASAP
NO PERSON’ means EXACTLY THAT NO PERSON
If one won’t compete, he/she/it doesn’t belong. NO EXCUSES or EXCEPTIONS
“Diversity” is NOT A REASON to DISCRIMINATE
You want it? WORK FOR IT
