On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said that the Biden administration thinks gas prices “should continue coming down,” and there have been “historic spreads between the cost of crude oil and the cost that’s being paid at the pump. So, we’re calling on those who own those gas stations to bring down the price.”
Host Andrea Mitchell asked, “Bottom line, can you do anything to bring down gas prices between now and the election a month from now?”
Adeyemo responded, “So, Andrea, we think that gas prices should continue coming down, because we’ve seen historic spreads between the cost of crude oil and the cost that’s being paid at the pump. So, we’re calling on those who own those gas stations to bring down the price. But in addition to that, we’ve already seen that, over the course of this last month, we’ve seen a release of the SPR that has helped to keep prices lower than they were at their highs this summer. And we’re committed to taking every other action that we can to try and bring down prices over the course of the next few days, the next few months, and over the course of the next years because we know how important this is to the American people.”

Propane here was $2.299/gal in fall of 2020 and $2.799 last fall. I hate to think of what it’ll cost when we buy it this fall. Fortunately, we only burn 120-140 gallons a year.

I don’t know if I should tell you this or not. But Democrats hate America with a white hot passion. And want to completely and totally destroy it. And from the Actions of the voters, they do too. They replaced President Trump, an honest man who loved America in the election of 2020. With Lying Joe Biden, the biggest and liar and thief in the history of the World. A man who hates the guts of America and spends every second of the day trying to destroy it. And to add insult to injury, the voters elect Democrat after Democrat that hates America with an abiding hatred. This happens too often to be anything but a deliberate act.
I heard yesterday there’s 22 days of oil left in the SPR. The draining of the SPR is a strategic blunder. It is a serious national security risk. Just a few moments of thought is required for our enemies to come up with an idea that would absolutely cripple America. By the way, what’s up with the 80+ illegal immigrants on the terrorist watch list up to. Mayorkas, that Castro plant, has no eff’n idea.

6 to 10 cents on a gallon might be their profit margins now, because they are protecting themselves against rapidly fluctuating prices. In normal times a gas station makes one to three cents on a gallon of gas.
At some point when people can’t afford to buy something the price naturally comes down.
The price is nothing more than a symptom of a larger illness.
So pedo joe turns loose 10 million gallons from the dwindling SPR. Let’s see, that’s like 5 days coverage for the opec cut back. And since folks here use approx 19 million/day............ Well, that math don’t add up.... 😵💫🤬⛽🤡

The real money was always in services offered back in the old days when every gas station had 2+ mechanics working on cars every day.
Now the money is in the retail from the C-store items sold at ridiculous mark up. They only carry gas as an enticement to get you to stop by.

There’s only one place local to me that makes 6¢/gallon. Everyone else is down to 3-4¢/gallon. Not much profit there.
