A powerful truck explosion seriously damaged Russia’s road-and-rail bridge to Crimea on Saturday, hitting a prestigious symbol of Moscow’s annexation of the peninsula and the key supply route to Russian forces battling to hold territory captured in southern Ukraine.
The blast on the bridge over the Kerch Strait, for which Russia did not immediately assign blame, prompted gleeful messages from Ukrainian officials but no direct claim of responsibility.
Russian investigators said three people had been killed, probably the occupants of a car traveling near the truck that blew up.

Not according to Russia....so I suspect Russia will respond.
Nope, it’s war that you Russians declared on Ukraine
They'll repair it, sorta.
Shame about your Black Sea Fleet, Comrade.
—”like they blew up their own Nordstream pipe.”
How do you know they did not?
“I ... assume that the view under consideration is something like this: no doubt in the past we were justified in attacking German cities. But to do so was always repugnant and now that the Germans are beaten anyway we can properly abstain from proceeding with these attacks. This is a doctrine to which I could never subscribe. Attacks on cities like any other act of war are intolerable unless they are strategically justified. But they are strategically justified in so far as they tend to shorten the war and preserve the lives of Allied soldiers. To my mind we have absolutely no right to give them up unless it is certain that they will not have this effect. I do not personally regard the whole of the remaining cities of Germany as worth the bones of one British Grenadier”
Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur Travers Harris
The video showing the truck was not correct. There was a boat under the bridge that carried the charges. The truck was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Several sources showed a different angle.
—”If the ukraine and its allies were serious about preventing death and destruction this would have been targeted months ago.”
Could you show a timeline and equipment list for such an operation?
NB: Working underwater is cold, slow, and tedious, also massive quantities of HE are required.
Nothing like what you see on the telly.

Kerch Bridge reopens after just hours after attack.
Congrats. Another tremendous victory for Putina.
Video from RR bridge underside closed circuit TV shows the bow of some kind of vessel edging into view just as the panel truck went over the bridge section. then explosion.
It was not a truck bomb— it blew from beneath the road bridge.
On telegram— Russia reports the rail bridge is back up and running— video of train going over/past.
You’ve uncovered a core pillar of Putinism: victims of fascist Russia are never allowed to defend themselves.

Possible; not probable.
Would require a MASSIVE amount of HE.
The farther from the target site the more you need...
Probably a square of the distance function?
Yes, the span can be lifted...
Would Ivan allow a barge out of nowhere simply motor under his bridge? far from the main channel?
Drunk? Probably not that drunk.
The legendary Russian army was asleep on guard, again.
And another fail for Ukraine, the US, and NATO.
Note: Imagine committing an international act of terrorism in blowing up two gas pipelines only to discover that one is still operational. Sucks to be the US and NATO and fail on that scale.
A bomb slipped into an ammo transport or something. It would be easy to find a dangerous cargo and slip a bomb in. Has the added bonus of passing bridge security checkpoints also. Explosive sniffers etc won’t detect a small bomb in a truckload of explosives.
Justa theory. I don’t see a missile or anything like that. And it was great timing to do it beside the train.
I think a sea drone actually makes sense. It would explain an uplift and collapse of that section.
The Harry Potter Hobbits may well have got a US Navy or Brit drone under it. Probably similar to a narco sub.
Not a clue of the driver’s name.
Damaged or ‘knocked off its supports’?
Probably because the blast pushed it against the segment that fell into the river.
The far span was knocked of its supports
The next section would have hit that section, and would have also had the supports under the section that fell to land on.
