IRVINE, Calif. -- Electric truck and SUV maker Rivian Automotive said Friday it is recalling almost all the vehicles it has delivered to customers in order to tighten a loose fastener that could potentially affect drivers' ability to steer.
The company, which was founded in 2009, said it is recalling about 13,000 vehicles because a fastener connecting the vehicles' front upper-control arm and steering knuckle may not be torqued enough.

EV , the Future of Failure
Never heard of it. But I live way out in the sticks.
Testing and evolution is the rock on which gasoline/diesel vehicles are built. They have been tested by daily use for about 100 years now and the experience of all this daily use has led to the long steady evolution into today's automobiles and trucks (plus motorcycle, boat, and aircraft engines, for that matter).
EVs sprang directly from the head of Zeus (well, Musk). They have no history, no experience.
Imagine a family-owned company needs a new CEO. Should the board of directors choose a man with 35 years of experience in every facet of the business or should they choose the owner's grandson, who has NO experience, but just graduated from Harvard?

I've lived many places - the suburbs, outskirts of cities,
small towns, (and briefly downtown Phoenix, AZ) as well
as in three different locations "in the sticks".
I was much more content & happy out in the boonies.
I'm getting on to that age when I'm starting to think about retirement.
And yes - 'to the sticks' it will be.
But WHERE? Hmmmmmm....
To folks who are in the market for an EV truck, not a big deal. Because, if they wanted a serviceable truck, they would buy a conventional one. These are for people who want an EV, that looks like a truck.
Im way out past exurbia, only about 50 miles or so from the boon-docks. There is lots of room out here and the asshole ratio is miniscule.
