I wonder how many people who “File Electronically” Keep a copy of such???
This is really interesting. It seems like millions of CP2000 forms will not be issued because ... the document matching system will not include the information that indicates under-reporting.
Think of it as some more Covid relief?
And more good news is that fewer tax-filers will be hassled by the IRS because of this.

Thanks. One time the IRS said I owed $10,000 for the 2014 year due to capital gains. I replied back and they replied back taking weeks and many certified letters and I ended up setting up a payment plan. I was still receiving letters saying I owed the money and I sent off more letters with proof of payment. This went on for months. It was always with the same office and 2 ladies that worked there. Finally some guy in another state verified I was paying and the letters stopped.
