Every single nucleated cell in the human body has 46 sex-specific "XY" chromosomes (denoting biological male sex) or "XX" chromosomes (denoting biological female sex). Please report to biology class for remedial instruction. There are 46 chromosomes in every nucleated cell (except for gametes which have only 23), but 44 are not sex-specific. Only the 23rd pair is. But most of us aren't Newsweak writers so could figure that out.

Agreed.
The problem isn’t just in the science. In sports that have incidental contact, like basketball and soccer, a male on the court or field is going to seriously injure one of his female opponents. In collision sports like girls lacrosse or hockey, some poor girl is going to get killed.
