Moderate Texas Republicans have been on my mind in recent weeks, although less than 40 days from now I’ll be working my way through a lengthy midterm election ballot with very few such candidates seeking my vote.
Full disclosure: I am an independent who votes both ways — or at least has done so in the past. In recent years, most of my votes have gone to Democrats.
That’s because most moderate Texan Republicans whose agendas might appeal to me and other independents have been benched and are left to watch electoral politics from the sidelines. The party dominated for the last six years by former President Donald Trump and his legions of Make America Great Again loyalists leaves no room for common-sense, right-center political leaders.

And you wonder why there are "very few such candidates seeking my vote." But
I hate seeing “moderate Republicans” in any news article. Call them what they are...democrats and be done with it.

If there’s one thing I despise even more than the evil principality that is the “progressive Democrat party”... it’s the even more evil principality that calls itself “moderate center right Republicans” (or independents).
When you throw in their cowardice, “centrists” are twice as evil, because they are really ‘rats, but too chicken to admit it.

The only reason political parties still exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.
A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.
And the vast majority of all our pols have proven themselves to be Deep State.
The Texas Bush dynasty is collapsing. Donald Trump did that.

In Order to fight something, you have to be able to name it precisely.
What a pompous ass. I saw a handful of those types standing in the median of the road into my town yesterday waving signs saying vote blue. They all had one visible thing in common even though they ranged in age 50-80 including a few elderly blue hairs, they all were clearly members of the dependent class.
Vote blue my ample ass.
Apparently, he can vote, but not explain why he votes for an evil party that is trying to destroy our freedoms and constitution. And give our money away.
Perhaps, he should consider living and voting in Russia, China, Cuba, etc.
