President Volodymyr Zelensky canceled the fall conscription for military service in 2022. This is due to the state of war in the country.

This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 678/2022.

According to this document, Zelensky made changes to his previous decree on conscription in 2022. Thus, in the fall of 2022, there will be no conscription for military service.

At the same time, Zelensky postponed the release of servicemen to the reserve for the period "not before the announcement in the established order of demobilization." This means that conscripts in the army who have already served the required term will remain in their units until demobilization is announced.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, during his speech on February 1 in the Verkhovna Rada, announced the transition of Ukraine to a professional army and signed the corresponding decree. It provides for an increase in the number of contractors of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by 100,000 people over the next three years, the creation of 20 additional brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces; increasing the financial support of all military personnel to a level not lower than three minimum salaries; transition of Ukraine to the foundations of a professional army. On July 16, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada in the second reading and as a whole approved President Volodymyr Zelenskyʼs draft laws on national resistance and increasing the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces by 15,000 (up to 261,000), including military personnel — by 11,000 (up to 215,000).

Ukraine has just cancelled its military draft for the end of the year. Clearly they have enough soldiers.

This answers the question of whether they have a strategic reserve.

Zelensky decided it looks better to loudly announce cancellation of conscription while requiring those now serving, who have completed their service, to stay in uniform until further notice. Optics - keeping people ready to go home, who earned the right to go home, looks better on the evening news that conscription. All bets are off, of course, he can still conscript next week. Whatever the news cycle will tolerate.

How many “advisors” and “volunteers” from America and NATO countries are on the ground in Ukraine? Or could this finally be a winding down of the war?

Contrast = PR value, nothing more.
Let alone the fact that Ukraine has had 7 mobilizations.

Putin is losing, so that means the war can wind down when they leave Ukraine

Ask the majority of those that voted to join Russia in the 4 regions if Russia “invaded,” and see what they tell you.....

According to Western media, Putin has been losing this war since it started but all the while he has been gobbling up Ukraine. I’m starting to think that this war has little to do with Ukraine proper and everything to do with the globalist takeover of the world. They are trying to take out their competitors, Russia being one.

Your take is inaccurate.

For the first two weeks Russia gobbled up a large part of Ukraine, but since then it has been on net losing ground, with very minor additions vs much larger losses of territory.

Russia has long since shot its bolt.

It seems Ukraine has enough for its TO&E plus replacements. What they lack is equipment. No point expanding the number of units if they can’t be armed or supported. Also likely is the lack of cadre, officers, NCO’s and trainers.

These deficiencies will be made up eventually. They have been getting plenty of combat experience, so they are likely breeding a bumper crop of NCOs.

When one realizes that governments going to war are made up of people who want their own people dead and who want to profit from that war, it changes one’s perspective of who the real enemy is.

Yet military age males still are not allowed to leave the country.

Rope a dope. I wouldn’t be surprised if all those stories of weapons beimg pillaged and sold off were part of a tactic to convince the Russians to overcommit. Ukraine had the weapons but needed time to train up enough people to use them properly.

By contrast Russia is rushing untrained conscripts to the front with a list of stuff they’ll need to source themselves, and if they’re lucky they’re getting a rusty gun and a handful of bullets.

That is true but in most of Ukraine they’ve not been rounded up and sent to the front. They’re effectively still on standby.

Unlike Russia, Ukraine didn’t have a choice on tgat score in Donbas, Kharkiv and Mariupol. The Russian advances were swift, and retaliation required immediate mobilisation.

Governments who go to war are made up of collections of people with very mixed motives. Most are personally ambitious, some have high positions and are fearful of losing them, some are driven by fears of consequences of trends they perceive as worse than war, etc. This is not simple at all. And then there is social dynamics, groupthink, in-group pressure.

And then there are the people at the very top. The leaders of every nation-state and most institutions are nearly all narcissists and sociopaths to one degree or another. They all exist in the psychological “dark triad”.

They have the second largest nuclear arsenal in the world. I think that makes them a competitor. This war is being purposely drawn out in order to bleed Russia, remove it from the world stage, destroy it, and eventually Russia will fight back with that arsenal. The globalists don’t care what happens to you and me. As long as they are the last power standing. That’s all that matters. This is World War III and it’s America vs. Russia, two nuclear powers ready to go at it. It’s not Ukraine vs. Russia.
