Ramzan Kadyrov, head of Russia’s region of Chechnya, said on Saturday that Moscow should consider using a low-yield nuclear weapon in Ukraine amid new reversals on the battlefield.
In a message on Telegram criticizing Russian commanders for abandoning the east Ukrainian town of Lyman on Saturday, Kadyrov wrote: “In my personal opinion, more drastic measures should be taken, right up to the declaration of martial law in the border areas and the use of low-yield nuclear weapons.”

Why not use MOABs?
Or better yet, carpet bomb the attackers from high altitude?
The United States, NATO and Ukraine are in for a rude awakening. I believe that Putin is going to give the west a few days to contemplate his stark warnings and take the necessary step to start winding down their support for Ukraine. But the west is insisting–MORE COWBELL.
Here are Putin’s likely responses:
*Deploy the Russian Army to Donetsk and complete the destruction of Ukrainian forces there.
*Turn off the power and lights in Ukraine.
*Attack and destroy all Ukrainian military bases still intact in Ukraine.
*Attack and destroy Ukraine’s command centers. *Attack and destroy transportation grids used to supply American and NATO weapons to the Ukrainian Army.
*Take control of Nikolaev and Odessa.
*Take control of the Transnistria in Moldova.
The U.S. and NATO strident threats against Russia will be exposed as hollow rhetoric.
And drop them on infantry? Towards what effect besides terror? Makes little military sense, but would cement Putin’s legacy as a total loon.
And does Russia even have such a thing as a “low yield” weapon in their inventory? I suppose they have had a few months go over any they have and do maintenance, but reliability of Russia’s old bombs has to be questionable. Might be even worse for them if they lit one and it fizzled.
Putin’s threats will be exposed as hollow rhetoric.
There, fixed it for you.
Nukes are so yesterday. Thermobaric bombs aren’t detectable like nuclear weapons and don’t irradiate everything on impact.
Yea…No.
Won’t be necessary in the long run.
Lyman has been deoccupied. Ruzzia’s fake army ran away like rabbits again. This time from a “Russian city”, though. I guess we’ll have to wait for a genuine cauldron? Maybe Luhansk city proper?
Tell me more how Putin is fighting for Biblical Judeo/Christianity
Seeing a lot of talk about using nukes but wouldn’t the fallout roll into Russia?
Shhhhh. You’re gonna upset the commie lovers this morning!
No need for “cauldrons”. Ukraine needs the free equipment and ammo left behind by Putin’s fleeing troops.
Also, many Spetsnaz were deaded in Lyman, while the conscripts ran away and left them behind to fend for themselves.
Also, watch Kherson.
Pro-Russian propagandists: Russia is winning great victories!
Pro-Ukrainian propagandists: Ukraine is winning great victories!
This remark by Kadyrov suggests that the Ukrainian spin might be closer to the truth.
BARBARIANS—We should ALWAYS listen to such thugs.
Putin should send Kadyrov to re-take Lyman. That will shut him up.
