Seeing a lot of talk about using nukes but wouldn’t the fallout roll into Russia?
Truer than you may realize. A significant portion of Russian culture comes from the Mongol hordess. You know - Genghis Khan?
If conventional battlefield nukes were to be used there would be a problem with fallout settling in nearby NATO countries or in Russian areas.
I think battlefield neutron weapons would be used instead. Minimal fallout problems, variable kill-radius depending on altitude of detonation and yield of the device... a line-of-sight radiation weapon, no protection other than hydrogen shielding (water, basically) they are good area-denial weapons and effective against massed armor and troops.
I believe the US would have to beg some neutron devices from Israel to reply in kind as we don't seem to have any, at least any we admit to having.
