Lots of .38 Spl; .380 (same diameter as 9mm, but a smaller bullet and lighter load); .223; some shotgun slugs, and some buckshot; some .40; some 10mm.
In any event, we’ve had a lot of combat experience over the last 20 years or so, and have and have had ample opportunity to study wound dynamics. We don’t have to resort to killing cats and dogs when we can study the real thing.
This reminds me of the movie “The Plague Dogs.” It’s something Fauci would commission.

goat lab was for medic’s during Nam
a goats were shot and the medic had to keep it alive for three days then it was euthanized

I agree
However they don’t know the initial starting conditions. Caliber, powder load, distance, etc.
We could if we just took the violent criminals and used them instead. Animals could live on as pets, PETA would shut up, law abiding folks would be happy and grateful, taxpayers not paying for lifers to be locked up, no real downside here...
