Ukraine has friends assisting it who comprise 60% of the worlds GDP.

Russia has only a few "friends", and they are the skankiest regimes on the planet.

In the last UN vote related to the invasion of Ukraine that I saw reported 7 countries voted with Russia and about 100 against them.

Russia's "friends" included Cuba, Nicaragua, Syria, and North Korea. With friends like that who needs enemies!

How many friends do you need with Biden in your back pocket and blank checks from the taxpayers?

The Slavic nation with the most friends is Poland. After Poland come the Czechs and Slovaks (on a good day).

Few people complain about the Slovenians - Except the Austrians!

The Slavs who no one has a nasty word to say about are the Sorbs. No, not the Serbs, few like the Serbs, I mean the Sorbs:

Do not doubt me on this.

Arnold Rimmer says...

That is a comically ignorant essay. Let's walk through just some of it.

Basically, Ukraine is not a real country, more like a Nazi military organization and army occupying territory which, over a period of several centuries, has been expropriated from Hungary , Romania , Poland , and Russia. None of those countries recognize any official borders between themselves and Ukraine.

It's no more or less real than any of the countries formed by the British drawing lines on a map in the early 20th Century, or Russia doing it, or the Islamic countries. Practically every country ever formed on a continental land mass that doesn't have fixed geographical features for its borders with neighbors - including Russia itself - is a result of decades if not centuries of expropriation and horse-trading.

The Ukrainian problem is greatly exacerbated by the fact that unlike pluralistic societies such as the USA, Canada, Switzerland, and Russia, which are tolerant of different cultures, religions, and languages, Ukraine is not.

WTAF? Putin's easily the most xenophobic national leader of the most racist nation on the entire ruddy planet. The Duginist, Zhirinovsky-endorsed philosophy that Putin now embodies has always been obsessed with physical, ethnic and racial superiority. It's totally the same as the Nazi Aryan vision, but adapted for the 21st Century. Just don't call it Nazism, because Putin doesn't like attention being drawn to the striking similarities.

So, when Ukraine proclaimed her independence, she did not proclaim her independence from Russia, Poland, and Romania’s territorial claims...

Ukraine didn't have to. Nor did Russia, Poland or Romania. For that matter, neither did Czechoslovakia - an artifical state which had an amicable divorce just like the dissolution of the USSR was a largely amicable divorce. In case it escaped your attention, This happened in 1992.

Incidentally, in addition to Russia violating the Budapest Memorandum and UN charter recognition of the former SSRs, Russia is also attempting to violate Article 1 of the Charter of the Commonwealth of Independent States (with declaration and decisions). Adopted at Minsk on 22nd January 1993:

The Commonwealth shall not be a state and shall not be supranational.

Putin does not distinguish between CIS countries and Russia. He does not recognize their total independence of Russia. He is now in the process of annexing a third independent state. The 'Stans are rebelling because his mask has completely slipped. The "multipolar" vision Putin has is restoration of something that walks like the USSR, talks like the USSR, acts like the USSR, and is only less than the USSR because he hasn't finished conquering lands yet.

Putin HIMSELF, today, inadvertently signposted his thoughts on those lines... and did so without even a hint of self-awareness: He lamented the collapse of the Soviet Union and blamed its collapse for all Russia's current troubles with the CIS, ignoring the fact that the USSR was itself an artificial state and the biggest troublemaker in the CIS by far is, and always has been... Mother Russia.

"It is enough to look at what is happening now between Russia and Ukraine and what is happening on the borders of some other CIS countries. All this, of course, is the result of the collapse of the Soviet Union."

Watch this space, because the 'Stans have already had a gut-full of the retarded nostalgia tripping from their racist, white supremacist, eugenicist, massively egotistical, retarded "brother".

November is a pretty symbolic month for many countries bordering Russia to unite, and educate Putin. The calamity of the 1990s wasn't the break-up of the USSR, it was that the CIS and United Nations repeatedly treated the petulant child state of Russia the kid gloves treatment despite it clearly being a gangster state, that's led by people who are just as racist and eugenicist as the Nazi Germany inner circle was, and that's all the more dangerous because it has a legacy arsenal of nukes, and it has a galaxy-sized chip on its shoulder.

Your “info” is all slanted against Putin, as if he’s the devil himself, which infers Zelenskyy is the opposite. I just wonder why a British subject harbors such hatred toward Russia and such love for Ukraine. Hopefully you have an actual reason and haven’t just been brainwashed by the incessant media coverage of this war.

I’m curious. Would you be willing to lay down your life or your children’s lives to fight for Ukraine? Because continuing to support this war risks WWIII breaking out, which I didn’t sign up for.

Basically, Ukraine is not a real country, more like a Nazi military organization and army occupying territory which, over a period of several centuries, has been expropriated from Hungary , Romania , Poland , and Russia. None of those countries recognize any official borders between themselves and Ukraine.

President Ford recognized Ukraine's Western border at Helsinki in exchange for the Soviets pledging to respect human rights. Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia all recognized their present borders in order to join NATO. Poland, in particular, is more concerned about weakening Russia than it is in regaining its former interwar borders. Putin already offered to split Ukraine with Poland, and Poles declined. The Poles see this as a great opportunity to weaken Russia, and they won't screw that up.

Putin is the best leader Russia has ever had since Tsar Peter. I mean, the guy is a super-star and has just made monkeys out of all the fops and wankers who run the western world.

Putin has made the protection of Christianity and Christians a major priority of Russian foreign policy. That works for me at least...
