Belarus has allegedly threatened to deploy 100,000 troops in Ukraine unless Kyiv withdraws its forces from the ‘new Russian territories’ after the referendums.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the Belarus government in Minsk today, Thursday, September 29, announced that unless Kyiv withdraws all of its military forces from the four new regions of Russia, it will deploy 100,000 troops in Ukraine.
They were referring of course to the four occupied regions of Ukraine where the recent ‘referendums’ were held in which people allegedly voted to join the Russian Federation. They also revealed that railway stations and airports in the country are being prepared for recruiting citizens into the military.

You folks advocating that the West / NATO / the U.S. cease supporting Ukraine in its fight against the unprovoked Russian invasion and land-grab always use the same tactics: Draw specious comparisons, e.g., with distant historical events (like the Zimmermann Telegram) - and then, when "called" on that, play "cat and mouse" and pull out a random different objection. And so on, ad infinitum.
I would love for Russia to fall on their face, and with it Putin is replaced with someone more reasonable, but if it doesn’t pan out that way, to what lengths will we be willing to go?
Here, you are essentially observing that the future is unknowable, and therefore we should crawl back into our hole and hope that Russia doesn't attack us, too!

Ukraine just issued a warning to Belarus that Russian and Belarus troops, equipment and bases in Belarus will be targeted immediately if Belarus joins Russia’s war. Ukraine will take the war to Belarus territory. Lukashenko is now formally on notice.

If you slept thru the events of the past 6+ months, I can’t help you very much, but I will give you this; tomorrow the Ukraine will shrink by the 4 oblasts that voted to join Rusia, and Russia will grow by the same amount. Any NATO attack on them will be an attack on Russia itself and the war will widen. We are in the political hands of morons and sane people sense the danger. You apparently don’t.

That makes as much sense a russkies having a cow because they don't want NATO too close to them so they take more land to the west by supposed annexation after killing a bunch of the neighbors which if it's now russia as you say move russian burder closer to the NATO countries west of the Ukraine. Actually, both Belorussian and Ukrainian are closer to Polish than to Russian!
At least their vocabulary contains a lot more Polish words than Russian.
BTW, there is a movement trying to re-create the former Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth.
Basically reuniting Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine and Belarus. (could also include parts of Western Russia!)
From historical point of view, this is a lot more fitting than Putin’s lame tries to re-create Soviet Union.
