Norway is beefing up security on its offshore North Sea oil rigs after mysterious drones came within 50m of its platforms.
The country's Petroleum Safety Authority said the unmanned aerial vehicles could carry out 'deliberate attacks' on the infrastructure or smash into helicopters transporting offshore workers to and from the rigs.
The warnings come amid claims that Russia was behind the enormous gas leak in the Baltic Sea following three huge undersea explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines on Monday.
Norway is now Europe's biggest gas supplier after the Kremlin turned off its taps, wreaking energy havoc across the continent.

The bare fact speaks for itself. Either Putin’s doing something really stupid, and he’s not a stupid man, or has only recently become so. Or, somebody has a problem with “fossil fuels”. I wouldn’t discount that out of hand, either.

It might be deep state idiots thinking they can blame it on Putin and get another war into the bargain, as well as destroying some “fossil fuels” and saying what a calamity it is. Could be.
On the other hand, Hitler had England on the ropes when he invaded Russia, and that ended in his total destruction.
Putin is losing his war in Ukraine, so open up a second front would be folly, even for the likes of Hitler.

Turns out Ukraine was too hard a nut to crack, so he starts in with Norway, and that’s where he sends his “300,000” mobilized reservists, meaning those that didn’t jump across the border and skedaddle, and those that aren’t unfit for duty due to chronic alcohol abuse and bad morale. Instead of Ukraine, they’re defending the homeland against p!ssed off Norwegians, and now Vlad is as heroic as Stalin, and in the same way, for persevering against a military calamity of his own making.
Putin is convinced he didn’t invade Ukraine when he invaded Ukraine. He thinks he is the victim.
