WASHINGTON — A Donald Trump fan who brought his teenage son along as he assaulted then-D.C. police officer Mike Fanone and another officer at the Capitol on Jan. 6 was sentenced to more than seven years in prison on Tuesday.
Kyle Young, a 38-year-old HVAC worker from Iowa whose lawyer said was he "injected" with lies about the 2020 election and who had asked his Facebook followers to join him at the "stop the steel [sic]" rally, pleaded guilty in May to a felony count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers. Young admitted that he used a strobe light to disorient police, helped throw a large audio speaker at police, grabbed Fanone's wrist when the D.C. officer was abducted by the mob, and made contact with another officer abducted by the mob.
Young's 86-month sentence matched what federal prosecutors sought in the case. They argued that Young took part in the assault at the lower west tunnel where "some of the most barbaric violence" took place on Jan. 6. As discovered by online sleuths, the government argued that Young handed a taser to Danny Rodriguez, a MAGA fanatic who used it to electroshock Fanone in the neck on Jan. 6.
Young, trailed by his 16-year-old son, was right nearby as Rodriguez electroshocked Fanone, extensive video evidence shows.

It is one thing to bring a kid, I have been to PLENTY of conservative rallies ranging from five people to half a million, and I would not have a second’s hesitation to bring a kid who is old enough to understand what is going on.
It is another thing to bring a kid where civil disobedience is being planned to assault law enforcement and throw things at them.
He says he “was injected with lies”. More like things were poured into his empty cranium.
But, as Freeper Skywise implied (accurately) this is a dual prosecution of law.
I do not have a problem with punishment for this, I have a ginormous problem with 100% of felchifa and burn loot murder people doing infinitely worse get off 100% scott free, unequal justice will eventually result in real violence

Maybe when some district attorneys have to pay a price for exercising their “prosecutorial discretion” to serve a political agenda.
But isn’t Fanone one of the cops that testified, started crying and then was found out to be some rich kid, who couldn’t do anything right...the Fanone family version of Hunter...who ended up becoming a lousy cop?
I’m smelling some serious bullschiff here. I have no problem with giving him a year or two, but seven years is ridiculous. And, if he is being charged with feral government crimes that means he’ll be doing the full term for a crime that I strongly suspect is nowhere near as serious as the persecutors made it out to be. Stupid? Without doubt, but not seven years in prison stupid.

And yet, a 40 year old who ran down a teenager with a car in absolute cold blood because he was MAGA is out on bail, and no doubt some $oro$ DA will drop the charges. This is after Bidung all but gave a green light to perform violence against nazi trump supporters claiming they are a massive threat to their fiefdoms
Yeah, meanwhile black kids can beat people half to death and not even do 90 days.
