Bahamas is doing the same thing the beginning of October. Our friend just bought a rather large place there. We’re headed down soon. She wants us to live there with her, but we need to keep it at arms length. We really like our place in Kentucky. We might find ourselves in a six month here and six month there sort of situation.
But we were unable to go down there with her because, though she’s vaxxed, we’re not. We’re the pure bloods.

This is driven entirely by the strong U.S. dollar. Canada’s tourism industry should be thriving under these conditions, but it has been a total disaster with the stupid government-imposed restrictions.

Wont happen. As an ex-Canadian, I was there during the referendum 1995. The dirty little secret that Americans do not know that the GLUE that makes Canada a “country” is the equalization payments..to Quebec. Quebec is keeping everyone hostage, and as long as Ottawa pays Quebec from “reparations” from the provinces, it stays.
Ever wonder why we have French as a second language when Canada is a former British colony and we have the Queen on Canadian dollars? That’s why.

Of course something is up... when the Freedom Convoy went to Ottawa, 7 of the provinces almost immediately started dropping/reducing restrictions. Turd-uh on the other hand has a very thick skull and he dug in. So what is forcing his hand now? It’s the fact that Pierre Poilievre is going to wipe young Justine right out of the office in the next election....it’s as simple as that and what you are seeing now are desperate measures as he tries to get ahead of the train barreling down on him.
