” purge elected officials who disagree with him”

Wrong! The prosecutor put in writing that he would not enforce the laws.

Those who thought DeSantis would be better than Trump in
2024, are going to learn the hard way that the Left will
seek to destroy whoever leads our cause.

How absurd is this, the governor holding a guy to account
who is not abiding by the law in Florida, and a judge
actually thinks there’s a case against him?

Some of these judges need frontier justice.

The governor did not dismiss Warren simply because he (Warren) disagreed with him. He dismissed the prosecutor because he publicly announced his intention to ignore the law of Florida. There is a vast difference between the two positions.

The closely watched case is expected to give clarity to DeSantis’s power to purge elected officials who disagree with him

um... no... it’s as simple as someone REFUSING to do their job and follow the LAW!

he can “disagree with DeSantis” all he wants, as long as he had DONE HIS JOB!

But he refused to do so, and made that refusal public and lost his job because of it. End of story.

Easy decision by any court.

Why is a Federal Judge even involved in this?

The governor's right to dismiss public officials comes from the Florida Constitution. How is this a federal case? Why did a federal court grant cert when it should have dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds?

I like Desantis, BUT this makes me uncomfortable. I don’t want to feel uncomfortable. I like Trump, too, but you know, the thing. It is time to take a second look at Liz Cheney.

/s for those of you in Rio Linda.

Odd headline. Makes it sound like the governor is personally on trial.

This DA is going to lose... and lose big. He took an oath to faithfully execute the laws of the state of Florida. You can’t pick & chose. He was derelict.

I suspect the judge simply wants a trial to make that point.

It’s call Lawfare. Continuously take your opponents to trial in an effort to convict, keep them on defense, destroy their reputation, wear them down, or bankrupt them.

All the court’s action means is that the lawsuit is to be heard, but it will not go the way of this liberal lawyer. DeSantis will prevail as he just did in another similar case.

It’s absurd for DeSantis to expect prosecutors to uphold the law.

No Big Deal!
Our communist masters know that the pathetically servile and indolent Aamerican people will just continue to roll over and spread their collective cheeks...
