The late-blooming 2022 Atlantic Tropical Storm season is making up for lost time. A tropical system has developed in the Central Caribbean Sea. This storm system is forecast to threaten continental U.S. interests next week. While the tropical wave passed south of a key geographic area known as Hebert's Box #1, it will very likely pass through Hebert's Box #2. These boxes are useful as predictors of hurricanes that will strike South Florida. For more information about Hebert's Boxes, see Hebert Box. See graphic below which illustrated the Hebert's Boxes.

Stay safe, y’all! I do not envy anybody along the coast that might endure this hurricane.
I was “fortunate” enough to go through Hurricane Jeanne, but I was in Clermont which is high ground. And I think it was at category 1 most of the time during that pass, so while it uprooted a lot of trees, the homes in the area were built to withstand such a hurricane.
Had I known that Jeanne was going to do a 270 degree loop in the Atlantic and cross back into Florida that year, I might have stayed home in Tennessee. But at least I got that experience. And I wasn’t in a bad location.
2004 was such a crazy year for FL hurricanes. Frances and Jeanne each made landfall at Sewall’s Point (Stuart). Two landfalls within three miles of each other in one season. Jeanne was loopy to reach Sewall’s Point.
2004 - wow - I didn’t realize it was that long ago already.
Reminiscing - Mom and Dad both alive, Dad was still healthy, they had a nice place in Clermont, near my aunt and uncle, and my 3 sisters. Aunt, Uncle, Mom, Dad have since passed, but the memories live on.
Anyway, back to the task at hand.
