The late-blooming 2022 Atlantic Tropical Storm season is making up for lost time. A tropical system has developed in the Central Caribbean Sea. This storm system is forecast to threaten continental U.S. interests next week. While the tropical wave passed south of a key geographic area known as Hebert's Box #1, it will very likely pass through Hebert's Box #2. These boxes are useful as predictors of hurricanes that will strike South Florida. For more information about Hebert's Boxes, see Hebert Box. See graphic below which illustrated the Hebert's Boxes.

They just kicked the idiots off the pier.
Oops, they just closed down the Naples pier.
Life-long JDM fan. His McGee character often opined about the over-development of FL, and that was in the 60s and 70s. JDM died in 1986 - you can just imagine what he would have to say today. Interesting that your folks knew him.

My family in Polk were devastated from Irma. No one gave a d@mn about them either. They really suffered. My brother in GVL took a generator and food, water, gas, ice, etc to them. It was a long drive with so many power lines and debris all over the place. The NHC made me pretty upset with them. They acted like these people didn’t matter a hill of beans. It was a bad month or two after that storm.
Any more power flickers at ur location?
They likely won’t for long if Deep State stays in power.
It doesn’t like competition.
Gone now. :( I wondered how long it would last.
naples pier webcam still working. same thing idiots on pier and in water but looks like it has been cleared now
looks like they finally cleared the idiots out. there were actually darwin award wannabes in the water
Thanks NN. I just heard my brother in Tarpon Springs went to a shelter.
Looks like he was about center yesterday. Ivan is shifted a bit more south overnight. Either way, no bueno for the coast.
I hope you slept well last night and have everything you need to hold you over.
Amazing amount of lightning in the eyewall center now. Monster of a storm.
Didn’t mean to say eyewall center. So there.
typo—insure
A lot of people suffer from hurricanes. My brother and sister rode out the hurricane in 2018 only to find out they had no power, water or cell service and rain coming through their roofs. People care but your family has priority.
I’m surprised it was still up until a little while ago.
Katrina actually hit Mississippi, not New Orleans.
Hurricane warning for Sebastian Inlet? That’s my father- in-law…on the east coast. Geez…he was hoping to stay at TS status.
