But what they do very well is send in overwhelming numbers of people to get killed until the enemy gets tired of killing them/and or runs out of ammo.

That’s like saying, how many National Guard and Reservist were called up by the US military to fight a 3rd rate country like Iraq? How many were called up for the 20-year war in Afghanistan which resulted/ended in utter BS?
Of course not. It is obvious that the objective shift given the circumstances. You won’t control the whole of Ukraine with a current force, of which half are rebels.

The West is thinking the more Russians they can draw into the hornet’s nest, the better. Besides, no Americans are being harmed in this war. Beating Russia without American casualties is a win/win in Washington. The price paid by Ukraine is irrelevant.
But they are losing the areas they want to control forever. They already found out they have no chance at all of Ukraine.

Why not? Russian media is saying that those with prior military experience will be called up. Why drag out a guy in his forties who hasn’t been in the military in 20 years, when you can call up 400,000 who have only been out a year?
