While most Republicans have given Ron DeSantis high marks for his move to fly illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard, not everyone on the right is happy.
That’s manifested mostly in Trump-world, perhaps because people in his orbit see DeSantis as a threat in 2024. Some of the major boosters of the former president actually agreed publicly with the leftwing criticism that the move was a “stunt.” Per my earlier writings, I don’t agree with that at all and believe DeSantis’ move was not only effective but highly necessary to turn the conversation onto the border crisis.
Unfortunately, former top Trump advisor Jared Kushner decided to go on Fox News and throw some barbs. In an attempt to “both sides” the issue, he suggested that DeSantis has used illegal aliens as “political pawns.”

I’d love to see Trump say, “ Desantis is right, and that’s why I’ll make him my Attorney General when I’m re-elected “
Meanwhile, Kushner should return to the real estate industry. Maybe Trump could task him with fixing the affordable housing crisis, the way he was able to oversee some important agreements in the Middle East
I’m a huge Trump fan but Jarod can FOAD.
Guess he missed my memo earlier. STFU! NObody cares what you have to say.
I doubt Trump will have Kushner in his next administration.
The SIL needs to STFU.
this is SO politically tone deaf, it’s astounding. Trump needs to reel this loser in.
Kushner is a two bit punk. He keeps sending me emails to buy his book. I don’t read fiction.
Faux probably played and replayed it over and over.
sounds to me as if Ivanka isn’t taking care of business?
Maybe. But Kushner has placed his people in the America First Institute, and Trump will put them in his administration. And Ivanka will likely be in there, and she’s just as bad as her husband.
Kushner’s cheap shot at DeSantis is no doubt part of trying to make points with Trump, whose relationship with his son in law is said to have cooled considerably. Kushner has a lot to answer for in light of how badly he botched Trump’s reelection.
You can bet Cavuto probably played it over and over. It’s why I never ever watch him anymore
I blame Harvard for letting Jared's dad buy Jared's way into the college.
One question..
because I honestly don’t keep up with everything Trump says..and some will.
Has Trump commented specifically on Martha’s Vineyard?
Because I’ve looked at his Truth Social and don’t see anything..
Your question set me to wondering. Internet search turned this up:
Donald Trump sidesteps question about Ron DeSantis’ Martha’s Vineyard stunt

Donald Trump rages that Ron DeSantis’s Martha’s Vineyard stunt was his ‘idea’

Trump is fuming over the attention DeSantis is getting for sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard: Rolling Stone

I would discount 2/3 of those right out of the shoot..
No to Yahoo and No to Independent.
But I will look at the Florida politics site, knowing zero about them..
My thought , without reading it first, is Trump has had his own issues to deal with..
But Kushner isn’t a real public guy, so this might be ‘Trump response ‘..
But thanks for the links.
Btw, if this is Trump’s response, ie Kushner, it’s weak..
The *deep state wouldn’t give security clearances to people Trump wanted in his administration.
This is a forgotten fact during the “Russia Russia canard” & “Mueller time” period at the start of the Trump Presidency.
Its how the shadow government operates against elected politicians. The politicians “take the heat” from the voters, while the permanent democrat bureaucracy rules the country.
* definition of deep state:
Its the shitheads running our alphabet intelligence and national security apparatuses.
I have been a huge fan of Trump for 20+ years through golf connection. Now living in Florida, I am a bigger fan of DeSantis. This guy is very good on the stump and dealing with Media. And he does not post mean or childish tweets. He is not divorced, has filed no business bankruptcies, and he does not remind women of their Ex-husband. Actually many women wish they had a husband like DeSantis. This is the candidate I want debating whoever the Rats nominate. And it won’t be Biden.
