Having worked at a very woke world wide diesel manufacturer for over 40 years, I have to wonder how the corporation takes these threats to their very existence?
Ping to your diesel list.
Trucking companies just need to put up signs that say “We do not transport to or from California” and be done with the state.
Would it not make sense then to also require ships in their ports to be zero emissions? Most cargo ships are powered by multiple diesel engines...propulsion and electricity. They belch out quite a bit of pollution so best ban them. Then cargo will end up going to the ports in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina where hopefully saner minds are at work.
Don’t forget the freight trains, diesel or gas turbine.
If they keep us this bullcrap, the ChiComs will crush California like an empty beer can long before 2040.
California is preparing to ban the sale of commercial diesel trucks by 2040 and require trucks entering ports and rail yards to be zero-emission vehicles by 2035. Some companies, such as Walmart and Amazon, would have until 2042 to convert their trucks to electric.

If companies are smart, they’ll get out of California now before the state descends into the Stone Age.
Good point. I keep looking for the like button on posts but we don’t have that feature.
It gets crazier and crazier every week ,LOL
This is how you empty a state with exodus on the scale of war refugees and turn it back to territiry status. Mass psychosis is dangerous on a public scale.
Supply chains? They’re supposed to magically work by themselves. Who needs truckers?
If the Trucking companies had any self worth, they would CLOSE today and MOVE out of State, vowing to never come to California for any reason ever.
Exactly.
An embargo against these morons would be fun to watch if for no other reason than to laugh at these self-righteous in their collective misery.
It’ll need to be more States: several have laws that they must follow CA’s pollution laws.
I don’t see the problem, seriously, we do not need diesel trucks. Ships sailed the seas for centuries with sails, and once mastered they were quite simple, many yachts and pleasure craft are sail boats today.
The mighty cargo and gun ships of the sail era had very high masts to capture the winds energy. We can do the same here with trucks. Erect 60 foot high masts on these rigs and they will fly down the road very climate friendly. /sar/
