DeSantis wouldn’t accept a VP spot....trust me it won’t happen.

Please let us know who this VP candidate will be who will 1) accept the job, and 2) be an instant Presidential contender? Marjorie Taylor Greene? Lauren Boebert?

And unfortunately FR does not have an exactly bellweather reputation when it comes to elections. The folks here are way too insulated to have a realistic feel for the population at large. We all seem to think no one in their right mind could vote for these criminal democrats. Yet they keep on voting for real losers like Obama.

Oh Trump will attack him...and hard...and it will stick...and if Trump were to lose many of the Trump supporters will hold a grudge...ask Ted Cruz...if DeSantis is going to win...he will have to attack Trump....and Hard...the only thing he’ll have to attack Trump on is COVID. It will get rough...Biden will be glowing reviews as per usual.

In at least one area where Trump paid close attention, one could do worse.

SCOTUS was as much McConnells' doing as it was Trump's. Trump had an incredible opportunity to place three justices on the Court but let's be honest, these justices were pretty much chosen for him by the Federalist Society.

The next President will likely get the opportunity to replace Clarence Thomas. He ain't getting any younger and would probably retire during the next Republican administration lest he makes the same mistake that RBG did. Again, it'll be the Federalist Society putting forth a list of suitable names.

Is Trump running in 2024?

You don’t always want to pick a VP who would be a credible presidential contender. I was no fan of Dick Cheney, but I knew in 2000 that his selection as VP was based on careful and prudent consideration.

If Trump is the nominee in 2024 and I had to lay odds on his potential running mates, I’d say Kristi Noem would be at the top of that list right now.

Trump was elected in 2016 by winning Rust Belt states that Republican candidates hadn’t won in decades.

And he lost every last one of them (save Ohio) in 2020.

Trump was elected by energizing a base of disgruntled malcontents who had never voted before.

But he was also elected by energizing no small number of Obama voters who absolutely loathed Hillary Clinton.

There wouldn’t be a DESANTIS without a PRESIDENT TRUMP. Stick with the original liberator.

In 2020 Reps won all the toss-up races. Trump had coattails, an indication he won big time. Do you dispute the 2020 election was stolen?

How many of those 10 traitors in the House who voted to impeach a trump remain? 2. Ask Liz Cheney about the power of Trump.

There are about 200 endorsed Trump candidates. The vast majority of them will win despite the GOPe’s attempts to deprive them of funds. Why do you think the Dems and the Administrative State are so obsessed with Trump? He is the most feared by the Swamp.

Kemp will steal the election like he did the last time and the primary this year along with Raffensberger. Hopefully, they will help Walker win.

True about Trump. But he will be 82 by the end of his presidency.

Kurt Schlichter sometimes makes sense, but not this time. His recollection of “Christiemania” and “Mariomania” a decade ago are much exaggerated…

Many of us never jumped on the Christie bandwagon.

Now, having said that, I believe DeSantis has ten times the potential Christie ever had.

But all of that is irrelevant for 2024 if President Trump decides to run. DeSantis should “strike while the iron is hot” but the iron won’t be hot for him in 2024 if Trump wants to pick up where he left off (or where he was so rudely interrupted).

I think a lot of Trump naysayers will be shocked when they find out how many Americans have a sense of unfinished business with President Trump. He will be like a returning war hero - there will be parades and yuge celebrations the likes of which have never been seen before.

Everyone loves the shiny new toy...until they notice what's holding it up.

Yawn... Another anti-DeSantis hit piece from Sundance at the "Conservative" Treehouse.

True enough. However … you can criticize Trump all you want, but if it weren’t for millions of questionable mail-in ballots he would be President today.

I do not foresee a huge, energetic groundswell of popular support for an establishment GOP candidate like Ron DeSantis. There are a lot of voters who — like me — supported Trump because he was NOT a “real” Republican.

He would have taken care of that in his second term...

And if the whole of the government and the media, all take after desantis and all of his family and acquaintances.. if he does not have the $$$ to last them out...

Trump has fought NY and so many things in his life.. would destantis be able to.

I like DeSantis.. but this next one is for Trump... if Desantis runs against Trump... I would not be a Desantis supporter.
The attacks.. worse, by far, than any candidate ever had to deal with.. have soured many good people against all of the process.

Never has an unelected government seated itself and are destroying the lives of so many... lawless and commie leaning, no one has the guts to have stopped this.. so we are in a recession.. we are in a mess.

You folks may have an education at the local or finest college. that doesn’t make you able... wisdom comes with age.. it comes with experience after experience and if you have the sense to recogize what works and what does not.

the bidens are in this for ONE thing.. to amass a fortune.. and after all that, they can’t take it with them.
