As costly as Vietnam was, and as misguided as it was fought, we were still the ‘good guys’ standing up to the Soviet threat.
Putin is still the bad guy. Imagine what this is doing to his (true) popularity and the morale of his countrymen. US soldier were sent to kill nasty VC. Russians have been sent to kill fellow Slavs.
BTW, I think its funny that you categorize going to college with moving to Canada...today that would be doubly true.
