Gavin Newsom Wants DeSantis Arrested for ‘Kidnapping’; Bused Homeless People Out of San Francisco
Breitbart ^ | 09/20/2022 | Joel B Pollack

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) demanded that the Department of Justice investigate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for “kidnapping” for flying migrants to Martha’s Vineyard — but Newsom bused homeless people from San Francisco elsewhere.

As National Public Radio reported in 2006, then-San Francisco Mayor Newsom launched the “Homeward Bound” program in an unsuccessful effort to rid the city of homeless people who were attracted by generous welfare and relatively warm weather.

Democrats never see their own actions as wrong so its not surprising Newsom has no self awareness.

Well, at least Newsom the Vile didn’t kill them as he did several thousand American senior citizens unfortunate enough to live in California by exposing them — deliberately — to the fauci flu during the early covid period. But Newsom the Vile did learn that bussing isn’t a permanent solution ... the bums eventually came back.

“Newsom the Vile did learn that bussing isn’t a permanent solution ... the bums eventually came back.”

The bums probably got free tickets back to Cali from the towns that didn’t want them. They were making out both ways.

Ask Kate Steinle’s family what they would like to do with Newsom.

Has Newsom forgotten the thousands of Fentanyl deaths in CA as a result of his open borders.

Newsome has no conscience. Wannabe dictators never have. Telling the truth and being sane are not on their dance card.

In another article, Joy Behar the delusional, thought that a Newsome & Abrams Democratic ticket would be awesome.

More like “The Gruesome Twosome” on steroids, the latest reincarnation of Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer (in a dress”).

Gruesome is bad news, he comes from bad seed, he is willing to use any language to agitprop.

He can plainly see that Nancy committed the cardinal sin of politicizing impeachment, so he will attempt to top that.

Calling for the arrest of a fellow governor was primary sub-text to the Civil War.

The only good thing thus far is that Bobo doesn't care for him, and thus his ratchets will submarine Gruesome's 2024 bid even if Biden abdicates; and the Ratchet-In-Chief will have already been saddled with a Senate-appointed bucket of spit.

If we take the Senate in November and I believe we will, Miotch will foist a dandy turd polisher upon Karamela in the shape of Sec'y Buttgag; thus ironically (or perhaps less than people think) giving the 2024 presidency to Trump.

That ticket would be epic. That's for sure.

My comment when I saw it mentioned was...

"I've got a ticket to ride hide!"

No one would be safe, West Coast to East Coast.

Explain how this is any different than various governors around the country shipping the homeless on one-way tickets to other locales...

NYC secretly exports homeless to Hawaii and other states without telling receiving pols

https://nypost.com/2019/10/26/nyc-homeless-initiative-sends-people-across-us-without-telling-receiving-cities/

From the tropical shores of Honolulu and Puerto Rico, to the badlands of Utah and backwaters of Louisiana, the Big Apple has sent local homeless families to 373 cities across the country with a full year of rent in their pockets as part of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s “Special One-Time Assistance Program.” Usually, the receiving city knows nothing about it.

City taxpayers have spent $89 million on rent alone since the program’s August 2017 inception to export 5,074 homeless families — 12,482 individuals — to places as close as Newark and as far as the South Pacific, according to Department of Homeless Services data obtained by The Post. Families who once lived in city shelters decamped to 32 states and Puerto Rico.

Bussed out

How America moves its homeless

Each year, US cities give thousands of homeless people one-way bus tickets out of town. An 18-month nationwide investigation by the Guardian reveals, for the first time, what really happens at journey’s end

Bussed out: how America moves thousands of homeless people around the country | Homelessness | The Guardian

Jeff Weinberger, co-founder of the Florida Homelessness Action Coalition, a not-for-profit that operates in a state with four bus programs, said the schemes are a “smoke-and-mirrors ruse tantamount to shifting around the deck chairs on the Titanic rather than reducing homelessness”.

“Once they get you out of their city, they really don’t care what happens to you.”

illie Romines was attracted to Key West for the same reasons as the tourists and billionaires whose yachts fill the marina. “It’s beautiful, it’s paradise,” he said. “You meet a lot of people from different countries.” For homeless people like Romines, there was also the added benefit of a mattress at the Keys Overnight Temporary Shelter (Kots).

But the 62-year-old former painter said his life on the island took a turn for the worse about five years ago, after he fell off his bicycle and broke his ankle in four places. He decided to spend a couple of months recuperating at a friend’s house in Ocala, and the shelter offered him a free bus ticket for the 460-mile trip.

He insists he was never told that by agreeing to take that Greyhound bus ticket off of the island, he was also promising never to come back.

I would never have taken the ticket if I had known this would happen

- Willie Romines

Romines said when he took his ticket, he was told he could return to the shelter after six months. But when he came back to Key West, still limping from his badly injured leg, he said he was informed by shelter employees that the ban was for life. He would have to sleep on the streets.

“I would never have taken the ticket if I had known this would happen,” he said. “They stabbed me in the back is what they did.”

Willie Romines, 62, took the bus from Key West to Ocala, Florida.

The Southernmost Homeless Assistance League (Shal), a not-for-profit that runs the shelter, requires recipients of bus tickets to sign a contract confirming their relocation will be “permanent” and acknowledging they will “no longer be eligible” for homeless services upon their return.

Of the 16 cities that shared their data with the Guardian, Key West was the only program with a policy expressly banning homeless people returning. It is also the only program that does not have a record of where it has sent 350 or so people who have been given one-way tickets off the island since 2014.

In many respects, however, Key West’s bus program is similar to the others in the database.
