Most likely or he got Masters to back him for Senate majority leader. I don’t think he does anything without getting something in return.

After we sweep out the Democrat Neocons we have to sweep out the Republican Neocons.

The POS must have been shamed into doing it. Mitch is the little bitch of both the leftist “Democrats” and the ChiComs so he needs to be tossed out of office.

After Lindsay Grahame’s recent saboutage, this is shocking. When McConnell starts supporting Republican candidates, the kettle is definitely on the boil. But what is brewing? Is Kari Lake causing a Republican tsunami in AZ?

A lot of drama about Mitch supporting or not supporting Masters I don’t care but I do care if Masters chooses to support Mitch after the election.

” I don’t think he does anything without getting something in return.”

You can take that to the bank.

McConnell is holding all of the cards - and he knows it. Candidates like Masters aren’t raising any money from their base supporters and are therefore completely dependent on McConnell and the donor class to ride to their rescue, as the MAGA base sits on their behinds and keeps their wallets closed, making the establishment all the more powerful. This is a completely voluntary action to allow the establishment and the donor class this kind of power. Just 1 million people giving a mere 10 bucks to each candidate makes the donor class unnecessary. There are tens of millions of conservatives who could more than afford that as spare change, but not even 1 million will do it.

Indeed - he’s very much still in charge of how this goes, and he knows it. See post 13 above.

Oh no - the lack of fundraising success leaves McConnell very much in control and in charge. And he knows it. He’s grinning from ear to ear at this - he has them right where he wants them and almost certainly got concessions from these candidates first before he gave them support vs. what could have been the other way around, as MAGA sat on their hands and kept their wallets closed, essentially abandoning these candidates and leaving them at the complete mercy of McConnell and the donor class.

Nope. Mitch wants to get another vote in the Senate. That's it.

All of McConnell's political moves make perfect sense if you consider his goal - to maximum the number of GOP votes he can count on in the Senate. He'll always support incumbents, because that gives him leverage over them when they're in his caucus. And given a choice between two GOP non-incumbents, he'll always choose the one he thinks most likely to win the general election regardless of which is the more conservative.

McConnell was negotiating with Peter Thiel to convince Thiel to up his already major support of Masters. Thiel basically told him to do his job or go pound salt, so McConnell is reluctantly beginning to do his job and support the GOP candidate. McConnell is corrupt but not stupid. He needs Masters if he wants to be head honcho again.
