President Joe Biden (D) admitted his student loan bailout is illegal during a CBS News interview that aired on Sunday night, critics say.
Biden made the remarks during an interview on CBS News’ “60 Minutes” with host Scott Pelley.
“Mr. President, first Detroit Auto Show in three years. Is the pandemic over?” Pelley asked.
“The pandemic is over,” Biden responded. “We still have a problem with COVID. We’re still doing a lotta work on it. It’s– but the pandemic is over. if you notice, no one’s wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think it’s changing. And I think this is a perfect example of it.”
Biden’s remarks generated widespread backlash on both sides of the political aisle, but for vastly different reasons.
“THE MANDATES MUST END. IMMEDIATELY. ALL OF THEM,” journalist Megyn Kelly tweeted. “And if they don’t, new legal challenges must be filed ASAP.”
“President Biden’s declaration on 60 Minutes that the pandemic is over—which his administration also argued when ending Title 42 back in May—confirms the illegality of his attempt to transfer hundreds of billions of dollars of student debt to the taxpayer,” National Review writer Charles C.W. Cooke tweeted. “Textually, the OLC’s interpretation of the 2003 HEROES Act was preposterous from top to bottom. But even if one were to cynically ignore all that, the lack of an emergency would render the whole thing moot. Biden just admitted on TV he’s breaking the law.”
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) tweeted: “If ‘the pandemic is over’ as Biden says, then all of the President’s emergency powers predicated on a pandemic, all COVID vax mandates, the emergency powers of every governor, Emergency Use Authorizations, and the PREP act should all be voided tomorrow.”

The “emergency powers” need to be removed from executives at every level of government. (Or at the very least, severely curtailed.)
Leave it to Biden to screw up a choreographed interview with the soft ball questions in advance.
Laws are a quaint concept. But the government just “does stuff” now.
Can you imagine his handlers when this was televised last night? The finger pointing and CYA going on by them as to who’s fault it was he was allowed to say that?

Okay, so why is he president allowed to openly “break the law” so he can get votes and be applauded for it?
That is why America is no longer a country I have respect for.

There are several candidates- repub candidates for the House who have in their platforms— challenging and restricting the illegal bypassing of Constitutional powers of Congress. It being Obamaumao who abused the hell out of this first, quite proudly “going around” Congress (conservative/r then so it was said) and “getting things done” for the Marxists now embedded in fedgov.
Never challenged, true in a court of law— but is a running position in an Election year for the House. Get the sorry dem bastards out!

Obama did the takeover of the Student Loans in order to “pay” for Obamacare (at least the appearance of it). Now, he can let Students run up another 100K in loans, which will be booked as assets for the corrupt House, and used again for massive spending. Another lib President will come back in 5 years and do the same thing if allowed. Buying votes? Sure that was part of it. But cleaning up the corrupt books was the biggest Modus Operandi.
The pandemic is not over he’s still in office.
