There is a strong Eeyore/Kevorkian strain in (alleged) conservatism nowadays. "The elections are rigged, the courts are rigged, the corporations are rigged, Big Tech is rigged, it's all over man... TEOTWAWKI and bring in CWII." For a group of people who trash the trans movement, the irony is that some conservatives seem to have completed their transition to Johnny Fontane.
Stories like that of Ms Drescher stand athwart the din of the Fontane wing. Movements start with steps. Hollyweird only needs a few people like her before tides turn. Look at homeschooling....only 11% of kids are HSed but the left is melting down over it.
As for ignoring Hollywood, the Invisible Hand is a great disciplinarian. Maverick made a ton of dough. Woke nonesnese tanked. They notice. They may hate us, but they love cash. Through the demand for better product, hearts and minds can be won without a shot being fired.
