Robert Keith Packer’s sister asked people not to judge him by his cover, a “Camp Auschwitz” sweatshirt. A prosecutor said he was wearing a Nazi SS T-shirt underneath.
The revelation of what Packer, a 57-year-old Virginia pipefitter, was wearing on Jan. 6, 2021, came Thursday when a federal judge sentenced him to 75 days for his role in the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.
The sweatshirt, which became a symbol of the rioters’ ties to white supremacist movements, was “incredibly offensive,” U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols said before handing down the sentence.
“It seems to me that he wore that sweatshirt for a reason. We don’t know what the reason was because Mr. Packer hasn’t told us,” Nichols said.
When the FBI asked Packer...he said, “Because I was cold.”

Maybe he supports Social Security.
“Camp Auschwitz” is a 2nd Amendment meme based on it being the ultimate gun free zone.
Homosexuality had already long been that (”verboten”) without any appeal to the form of socialism that Nazism was.
Der Wanker was getting rid of some useful idiots who had been previously tolerated while still useful to him who simply weren’t useful to him anymore.
He only received 75 days. That is just a minor inconvenience if he was an activist/provocateur. For them it would be a badge of honor, like gang rites are when they have initiates commit something heinous as juveniles, knowing it will keep them in line but not be a problem as adults.
If the prosecutors really believed he was a threat they would get him for more, it isn’t as if they have to worry about getting slapped by judge or jury in DC. Did they even have to plea bargain with him?
Remember when the Democrats dressed people up as Klansmen to attend one of Papa Bush’s rallies? I think Robert Creamer or whoever organized those provocateurs even bragged about it as a mere dirty trick.
We already know the Sullivan guy was bragging about carrying out a false flag for Jan 6, trying to recruit people to attend wearing MAGA gear.
It could establish street cred with some white supremacists, but hardly with Trump supporters.
Apparently, the 1st Amendment is meaningless......
Probably about 75 days.
I hadn’t heard about someone getting trampled. Some people cannot believe both things can be true: a. The January 6 event was probably a riot and there were a few actual criminals involved, as well as many innocent people who peacefully wandered about, not intending to trespass, much less wage an “insurrection.” b. The Democrats are using this to label all dissent “treason” and “terrorism” as they try to set up a leftist dictatorship.
Then there were the fake tikki torch carriers in Virginia trying to pretend to be Youngkin supporters.
You just do not understand, this was an INCREDIBLY OFFENSICE shirt, honoring the entirely wrong historical figures. Che Guevera, however, was a favorite of the left, and gains many points for being a “social justice warrior”.
Freedom of speech is a highly selective thing. Only certain speech is free, all else is prosecutable. And the circle grows tighter every day.
You’re clearly not from these here parts...
Yer right, and think of the points he’d get for having a lovely Pol Pot windbreaker!
2 Million dead is nothin’ to sneeze at, quite a record...
Some of the other deaths from "natural causes" resulted from police action.
I did. On the Rush Limbaugh show. Eye witness account. Then the capitol police said she died of an overdose, like George Floyd, and now I find a claim that the rioters stomped her to death.

A better question would have been to ask how much money did the FBI pay him to dress in costume...
Being offensive is one thing...
However, the First Amendment does not proscribe offensiveness...
In fact, it protects our right to be “offensive”...
Oh I understand fine. You want far left crazies to spew all they want and silent conservative or non leftists voices.
this was an INCREDIBLY OFFENSICE shirt
A “Nazi” shirt is “incredibly offensive” but a communist shirt isn't? How many people were brutally murdered by Joseph Stalin?
Che Guevera, however, was a favorite of the left, and gains many points for being a “social justice warrior
Che Guevera was a ruthless killer and a vicious racist, and he did nothing for “social justice”.
You can't do social justice when you are a virulent racist like Che Guevera was.
:-)
I heard he was shortstop on his baseball team
