South Africa’s president insists it’s not up to Washington to determine his country’s diplomatic ties

Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa has called on the United States to stop granting asylum to him. “punish”African leaders were pressured to break ties with Moscow by pointing out legislation that was passed through Congress, which allows for further US intervention in the region.

Ramaphosa met with Joe Biden, US President, on Friday to discuss the Countering Malign Russian Activities in Africa Act. He stated that the measure was a good idea. “will harm Africa and marginalize the continent.”

“We should not be told by anyone who we can associate with,” he added, noting South Africa’s long-held policy of non-alignment among world powers.

Though the two leaders exchanged pleasantries during their sit-down and did not mention the Russia legislation – as detailed in the White House readout of the discussion – Ramaphosa separately spoke with the Congressional Black Caucus during his visit and again offered criticism of the bill.

South Africa is “concerned [about] the possible implications for the African Continent if the ‘Countering Malign Russian Activities Bill’ were to become US law,”He added, “It could have,” “the unintended consequence of punishing the continent for efforts to advance development and growth.”

>>South Africa’s president insists it’s not up to Washington to determine his country’s diplomatic ties<<

I guess no one told the Africa leaders that American democrats think of all blacks in the world as slaves who live off plantations as a result of said democrats’ indulgence and largesse.

This is a sign of weakness, that even pipsqueak nations like SA should tell us what to do.

It is actually the other way around. Biden RATs are telling him what he is going to do and he said “No. we won’t be told what to do.

We have no right at all to be telling other countries what they can do.

It is all about this f’n Liberal world Order and you all rest of the worlder folks better damn well obey us.

I read how China is pouring money into Africa, building huge manufacturing companies ( that don’t have to meet Climate change standards) sending local people back to China for education. China is assuming it’s the world leadership now by just throwing money around. They even have a knock off mega store called Wumart where locals can buy knock off products like Doritos, Oreos, etc in huge bulk quantities.

We don't have to. Africans are quite capable of screwing their up their continent all on their own.

Cyril Ramaphosa should demand the immediate return (to Africa) of all Africans taken as slaves and their descendants...

If it were up to me, we would completely forget that the entire continent exists. It’s not like anything of value but coffee is produced there.
