How will Russia’s poor Ukraine showing ripple in the Middle East?
Jerusalem Post ^ | 9/16/22 | Herb Keinon

This week’s stunning turn of events in the war in Ukraine was head-spinning, reflected in dramatic headlines in the media around the world.

“Ukraine is turning the tide against Russia,” declared one. “Ukrainian victory shatters Russia’s reputation as a military superpower,” shouted a second. “Russia withdraws more forces from northeast Ukraine as Kyiv presses advance,” read a third.

Seven months after the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the tide seemed to turn in the war, as Ukrainian forces registered victories in the northeast. In a symbolic action that seemed unimaginable a few months ago, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the liberated town of Izium on Thursday, just 14 km. from the front.

Poor showing? Enough of the ridiculous Biden regime propaganda. This isn't a poor showing against what essential is a NATO funded, supported and trained army:

https://sonar21.com/putin-and-his-army-on-the-ropes-again/

So let us consider some actual facts:

Russia and its allies captured the major industrial port city of Mariupol from frontline Ukrainian troops and are still in full control of that city.

Russia and its allies expelled the Ukrainian Army from the Luhansk Republic and are in full control there.

Russia and its allies are continuing to retake cities and villages in the

Russia carried out a tactical retreat from the Kharkiv Oblast and moved those forces to the Donetsk region. Yes, they surrendered territory. They retreated.

During the current offensive, according to Ukrainian sources, Ukrainian troops are suffering at least 5 times the casualties of Russia and its allies.

Russia’s Air Force is intact and has suffered minimal losses while Ukraine’s Air Force has been erased.

Russia is producing its own missiles, rockets and artillery shells and is not dependent on another country to continue its fire missions while Ukraine is totally dependent, now, on western supplies.

In its current offensive in the Kharkiv oblast Ukraine has failed to carry out an operation in depth–its attacks have been confined to the frontlines while Russia’s artillery and missiles continue to rain down on exposed Ukrainian troops.

The Ukrainians arms salespeople would beg to differ. The interested parties will be able to get BOGO deals.

Eventually the decline of Russia will lead to the rise of Turkey and a new Ottoman Empire.

Facts according to who? You?

News Flash:

I don’t have the a hold on the ‘truth’ when it comes to this Russian War of Aggression
And neither do you....

The fact that Zelenskyy is still running around parroting messages shows the Russian military has issues defeating 3rd world militias.

They are holding their cards close and waiting for the opportunity.

China is keeping an eye on those massive lands to the east as well.

Exactly, you remembered Trump’s warning about western MSM. Most Americans did not.

That said, the EU economy is crippled, Germany especially hard hit, and Five Star General Winter has not even showed up. Much much more to “ war” than minor battlefield gains/ losses. The EU’s economy is crippled, possibly destroyed….let’s wait till General Winter shows up.

Russia is about to step things up a notch - I doubt we see Zelensky or his command any longer.

Russia is dropping in world ranks in population, GDP, and military might.

Russia ranked 9th in the world in population. But they were the only nation in the top 10 whose population was declining prior to the Ukraine war. Now people are fleeing Russia due to dictatorial actions such as the clamp down on free speech, fear of being conscripted, and economic turmoil. And war casualties are mounting. Mexico’s population will soon surpass Russia dropping Russia to 10th place.

Russia ranked 11th in GDP. But sanctions and war are both taking their toll. Russian GDP is forecasted to drop by at least 10% next year and Yale says the Russian economy is headed for “economic oblivion”. A forecast they double downed on this week.

South Korea, Australia and Iran close behind Russian in economic GDP and will surpass Russia leaving Russia in 14th place.

Russia was ranked the #2 military behind the US. But #3 China outspends Russia by almost 3 to 1. And #4 India outspends Russia by 2 to 1.

Ukraine was ranked #30 in 2013. But had risen to #22 before Russia invaded.

I see Russia falling to at least 6th place behind the US, China, India, Japan, South Korea. (Nuclear weapons not considered). And I see Ukraine advancing above #15, possibly even into the top 10.

I’m glad that FreeRepublic hasn’t banned some of these posters, but I don’t think they contribute anything useful and have stopped reading their posts.
I wonder if it would be possible for FreeRepublic to allow users to generate their own ignore list. That way we could just list some of these obvious paid Russian agents and not have to scroll past their useless drivel.

No, there are Russian trolls. But, there are plenty repeating lie after lie from the Biden regime about this war.

The Biden regime had corrupted and lied about everything else. Why any expect it isn't doing the same in regard to the war in Ukraine and the sanction war with Russia?
