Governor Gavin Newsom sent a letter to Merrick Garland on Thursday requesting the Attorney General look into “kidnapping” charges for those involved in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ effort to send illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
But if shipping people out of state to try and give them a better life amounts to “kidnapping,” Newsom has some explaining to do.
In July of 2019, SFist published an article critiquing a program called ‘Homeward Bound,’ an effort initiated by Newsom as mayor of San Francisco in 2004.

I’ve been unsuccessful in finding such references. I know I remember people complaining in Georgia and elsewhere about the middle of the night arrivals of transients who spoke Spanish and who added to the tax burdens of the towns.

Obama tried shipping people into the relatively small town of Temecula. The city council knew about it because they were promised some (short term?) funding by Obama, but they neglected to tell the townspeople.
Fortunately, someone squealed and the townspeople put up a roadblock so the busload of illegals couldn't be housed in their fair city.
The bus finally had to drive off.
Do not trust your city council. They are just there waiting for a payoff from developers, unions, or the Feds.
