U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Thursday appointed New York Judge Raymond Dearie as special master to independently review documents the FBI took from former President Donald Trump's Florida home in early August.
Cannon's appointment of Dearie came alongside a separate ruling that denied the Department of Justice's request to continue its own review of the documents.
"The Court does not find it appropriate to accept the Government’s conclusions on these important and disputed issues without further review by a neutral third party in an expedited and orderly fashion," Cannon wrote in her ruling denying the DOJ further review of the seized documents.

Wow. I’m impressed to see a judge that does not rollover outright for the DOJ.
It seems to be exceedingly rare.
He'll probably require an extension until, say, February, 2023.

Expressed that right after the raid. Believe only Trump and his eldest sons know where they are. The trick was photographing every piece in perfect order....page by page...back and front. My guess is that’s why they found papers taped....deliberate as hell....and no reason to do otherwise.

Certainly not the only FISA court judge or other federal judge apparently the FBI has lied to. But being lied to by the FBI about the provenance of Carter Page who was a CLEARED, security and otherwise agent approved for intel work against the Soviets and then the Russian oligarchs-— it is particularly disgusting to any judge who approved Surveillance and ruining a good American’s life (Carter Page graduated from US Naval Academy, and very bright).
