FedEx FDX stock was tumbling after the company doubly disappointed investors Thursday announcing weak quarterly results earlier than expected while withdrawing its full-year financial guidance.
The stock was down more the 12% in after-hours trading after FedEx (ticker: FDX) said it earned $3.44 a share from $23.2 billion in sales in its fiscal 2023 first quarter which ended in August. Wall Street was looking for $5.10 in per-share earnings from $23.5 billion in sales.

part of me hopes it was because of the midnight Deliveries made on voting day a couple years ago.
quit talking to yourself...
Just in 2019 they were running a 99.97% reliability rate. I know because I work regularly with FedEx Packaging Development Laboratory.
Just like a lot of business they’ve fallen off a cliff since 2020. It’s not just them, services in banking, medicine, etc. have become remarkably worse in just 2 plus years.
At work everything is delayed. We can’t get raw materials in. I’ve had a testing protocol open in MS Word on my computer waiting to be updated once everything is in. The last time it was updated was in March.
FedEx is run by Indians now.
Sorry to have offended you. Have a nice fuqing day
There are some brokers/banks/hedge funds that are highly (over) leveraged. My very humble hunch is they will be the next bubble to burst.

I live in eastern PA, recently had a package shipped FedEx from upstate NY, was supposed to arrive within a day or two, I received it over a week later after it went to Colorado for a few days. Makes sense…
FedEx should announce no more shipping of firearms! Go woke, go Broke!
I think the problem is FEDEX stinks these days. Worse than the USPS. Completely unreliable.
>>Inventories are full.<<
Why are store shelves looking bare?
Not my experience. The USPS has lost two packages to be shipped to me this year, FedEx zero. I receive a lot more packages from FedEx. I’m not a cheerleader for any company and never for the government.
Just don't ship guns, if you want to keep them.....
Fuel costs are probably the main expense pulling them down and don’t think UPS is not in the same boat.
Whenever that happens it means the board has switched from competing by price instead of innovation, and it never ends well for those who didn't have a "golden parachute" to jump out with before the transition was generally known ...
you didnt offend me clown... anyone who takes the time to deliberately clear to To: field before they post has entirely too much to think about. its just plain dumb!!
UPS is anti-gun and anti 2A.
Last people I’d ship with
