Facebook spied on private messages of Americans who questioned 2020 election
New York Post ^ | 9/14/2022 | Miranda Devine

Facebook has been spying on the private messages and data of American users and reporting them to the FBI if they express anti-government or anti-authority sentiments — or question the 2020 election — according to sources within the Department of Justice.

Under the FBI collaboration operation, somebody at Facebook red-flagged these supposedly subversive private messages over the past 19 months and transmitted them in redacted form to the domestic terrorism operational unit at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, without a subpoena.

Anyone still using that platform?

If you have stock, might be good time to sell it.

Facebook monitors every “private” message on its system and prevents any message it deems improper. It even used optical character recognition to scan text in images.

Pfftt. Facebook was just the start. Companies from every sector are all joining the “cloud” were all your data is stored in one place for the government to spy on.

Got off it going on two years now I think. Don’t miss it at all. Have a family page setup in MeWe now. Though I think I am the only one in my family who entirely removed themselves from Facebook.

Miranda Devine is one heck of a fearless journalist. Another scoop!

(She did the “Laptop From Hell” book.)

Anyone who thinks a Facebook message is — or ever was — “private” is a moron.

Remember—Facebook is a private company so there is no need to bust the trust.

Old Marky Mark Zuky Zuky.

He warned me 2-3 times (ok his minions) about spreading misinformation on the COVID 19 outbreak back in 2020 when I questioned the accepted narrative it was a natural incident. Now even WHO admits a lab leak is a possibility.

I deleted my Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest years ago. My biggest reason was they were a massive waste of my time.

Facebook and Twitter competing to see who can be the biggest piece of hot garbage.

The only silver lining is that both are facing steady attrition, month over month.

Don't forget about the women posting pictures of themselves just so they can get the "Beautiful!" reply.

A private company can do whatever they want with conversations on their platform but the government can't accept data without it violating the Fourth Amendment if a judge hasn't signed a warrant.

The Feds violated Constitutional rights. The officers who retrieved the data AND the Facebook employees who turned it over need to be charged.

The code writer is also on the hook. There is no reason to write that code other than to facilitate in a crime.

Who is surprised? FB has been willingly providing this and more information to the government for a long time. Remember when obammy met with the heads of the social media?

The government asks for information, and the social media gladly provide it. The media are violating the Constitution, but know the corrupt government will never prosecute them.

Since the government is doing this by proxy, it is nevertheless the government that is doing it, First Amendment not withstanding.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone. I think people who use social media are being to be spied on.

Big hairy deal. G**gle spies on everything you send through their email servers, and long has admitted it.
