Life is a unalienable right, the Declaration tells us that the role of government is to protect it. That has long been a 'federal' pov for anti abortion.
I know that and agree with you.
My question is a matter of legality.
If every state has an abortion law that permits abortion on some point, does the federal government have the right to set the standard across the country?
Now how could anybody disagree with that?

Seems at least, .gov would have a standard on federal facilities. Or might even argue that places that receive fed money would have standards of care and procedures in order to get such monies.
lindaI personally find abortion with rare exceptions evil as such as rape, incest, life of the mother, etc. I also at the same time recognize it is the total right of the individual states to determine their law least it violate federal constitutional law.
Some states today allow abortion up to just prior to birth, an obscenity. I actually defend this evil in defense of our constitution. I do not defend that evil. It is up to the individual states. What is lacking is the definition of murder and what is life.
The issue is very simple if viewed constitutionally. Each state can define criminal law if it does not go counter to limited federal law over the individual states. Each state can do what they want if it does not violate said mentioned limited federal law.

He was definitely evading Jesse’s questions and tried to say if we don’t drop everything and bring up his proposal RIGHT NOW (you know, smack in the middle of the 2022 general election campaign season) you are for babies dying.
