Russians 'flee CRIMEA' : Kremlin commanders 'begin selling houses and sending families back home' - as Ukraine reveals Moscow officials 'have tried to reopen peace negotiations'

Putin's commanders have begun quietly fleeing Crimea as they try to sell their homes and get their families back to Russia, Ukrainian spies have claimed.

Russian FSB agents and those working for the occupying government are also trying to get off the peninsula, which has been occupied by Kremlin forces since 2014.

Officials have been spooked by the rapid advance of Ukrainian forces across the north of the country in recent days, the military intelligence service added, amid reports that soldiers are withdrawing from Melitopol - just 70 miles away.

“Russia has enough problems”

Outside of having to fend off US proxy wars, what problems do they have? Their oil & gas revenues are up despite them selling less, in comparison to Europe which is on the verge of self induced implosion. They are largely self sufficient and can sell all the natural resources they possess to China, India, and pretty much the rest of the world outside of the US and EU. The neocons screwed up thinking they could bring Russia to it’s knees with sanctions, on the contrary the sanctions hurt the West far more than they did Russia.

I’m no fan of Kissinger but he obviously knows what’s up when it comes to playing geopolitical games. This wasn’t an off the cuff remark he made, it was a serious warning.

Kissinger knew — and I emphasize KNEW, because his acumen for foreign policy was on the wane by 1980 — how to play the game, but that didn’t make him a master of it. You know, I assume, that Ronald Reagan pretty much saw Kissinger as a shameless self-promoter who loved the spotlight, but not much else?

After all this posting you are doing, you seem to support Russia so much that you are supportive of them if they go nuclear.

I don’t disagree that he was a self promoter, most of those playing the game at the top levels are. But trust me he’s very much aware of what’s going on and is quite concerned that the Biden WH is recklessly pushing us in a bad direction.

And Moscow miscalculated thinking that they had Berlin under control, and through them the rest of EU.

And he understandably miscalculated after watching the debacle in Kabul, assuming that the US would not intervene. Biden further signaled his fecklessness when he responded to Putin’s buildup by threatening yet another sanction. That looked like a green light to Moscow.

And he miscalculated believing that Zelensky would scoop up a plane-load of cash and head for Paris, and the Ukrainian army would fold like a wet suit.

Well, he’s right that the Biden administration is a disaster on so many levels. But any sentient being can discern that.

I’m just presenting the facts as I see them and try to view things as objectively as possible. I’m an American who is against the Ukraine situation progressing to a nuclear exchange, it’s as simple as that. You seem to be suggesting that just because I’m an American I have to support the foreign policy decisions of the current regime. You are letting your emotional attachments cloud your thinking. I don’t love Russia I love America, a country these idiots seem intent on risking destroying because of their hubris. People need to wake the hell up, we have criminal idiots in charge now and they must be fought against.

They already had a chance to be intact and free with Minsk agreement. Then they had a chance to be free without areas which don’t want to be with them during Istanbul talks. The array of opportunities is shrinking.

You sound proud that we are putting Ukraine's borders above America's borders, our own borders overrun with gangsters, terrorists, sex-traffickers and fentanyl, while impoverishing American GIs, and sending our country back to the worst of the post-Vietnam Jimmy Carter inflation and malaise.

Shame on you. Surely you know better. You were not born yesterday.

Back to the future. Did you vote for Jimmy Carter, twice?

Ukraine has all of time to be free, your view of human existence being determined by the backward nation of Russia is bizarre.

There is no threat of anything to do with nukes in Europe, except for your Russia, and instead of fearing that threat, you keep wanting to use it to promote Russia’s territorial desires.

You seem to be promoting and supporting Russia using nukes, if that is what they require to make successful foreign conquests.

I’ve researched this for some time, and there is no doubt in my mind that we intentionally provoked Russia into this for various reasons. I understand how the world works and am hardly naïve, but we (the US) are doing some morally reprehensible stuff here and I just can’t condone it. It reeks of desperation that we’ve come to this point. It’s not like we haven’t done morally indefensible stuff before, but it just keeps getting worse and I can no longer close my eyes to it.

We are totally screwing over Ukraine not to mention Europe for our own selfish advantage. It sickens me that America has sunk to this level. I know many on here won’t agree with me, but I think that’s primarily due to them not understanding what’s really going on because of the propaganda.

“”We are totally screwing over Ukraine not to mention Europe for our own selfish advantage. It sickens me that America has sunk to this level.””

Europe agrees with us, we are all in the same alliance, and Ukraine agrees with us most of all.

Give Europe and Ukraine some credit for having minds of their own, even against Russia.

Vast natural resources would give a country strength if it was a certain kind of country. Russia is not that kind of country. Russia has an almost unlimited capacity for wasting the bounty it has been given.

Nice try. Please show me where I have posted anything that would suggest what you describe.

Unless some sort of peace accord is negotiated, I have my doubts that Ukraine will even exist by the time this is over. Russia eventually takes Odessa and the south and east (where all the natural resources are located) and Ukraine becomes an economically unviable rump landlocked country. I expect Poland will eventually grab a slice too as well as other countries. You don’t seem to understand, but for all practical purposes Ukraine is now done. All of you pro-Ukraine people are unwittingly cheering for its demise. I’m sure you don’t believe that being caught up in the propaganda as you are, but just watch how this plays out.

You seem to have all kinds of dark theories about everything, fortunately, they are your own and not particularly realistic, like Poland following up Russia with its own attack to take parts of Ukraine.

Your theories all reflect an apocalyptic world for Europe with everyone a victim except for your Russia.
