Putin's commanders have begun quietly fleeing Crimea as they try to sell their homes and get their families back to Russia, Ukrainian spies have claimed.

Russian FSB agents and those working for the occupying government are also trying to get off the peninsula, which has been occupied by Kremlin forces since 2014.

Officials have been spooked by the rapid advance of Ukrainian forces across the north of the country in recent days, the military intelligence service added, amid reports that soldiers are withdrawing from Melitopol - just 70 miles away.

“In the late 80’s the Soviet Union was nearing economic collapse and was not in any position to do anything about German reunification.”

Yes, lots of things happen you don’t like, when you’re not in any position to do anything about it. If Russia is in a strong position now, they sure are doing a good job keeping it a secret.

Using nukes would be like DC nuking Virginia. It’s fine if the wind is blowing in the right direction, but the winds can shift.

We are the ones who provoke them into this war

You're lying

Russia illegally invaded Ukraine, that's what started this war

stop with the blame-shifting, Russian troll ... Putin is a bloodthirsty warmonger, blame him

” If Russia is in a strong position now, they sure are doing a good job keeping it a secret.”

Actually they ARE in a relatively strong position because of their vast natural resources and low debt to GDP ratio, which is the very reason the US has fomented this Ukrainian proxy war, to chip them back down to size. Europe is on the verge of literally crumbling economically without cheap Russian gas, just wait to see how that plays out.

Europe doesn’t seem to be crumbling or panicking yet

is that your brilliant Russian strategy? wait for Europe to come back begging for your resources?

and what if Europe can find those resources elsewhere? there’s lots of sellers around these days

and then Europe doesn’t really need Russia anymore, do they?

After the 2014 CIA coup, Ukraine has done nothing but harrass their Russian speaking population and continued their military attacks in the Donbass killing tens of thousands at the direction of the US to provoke Russia into this. If all this wasn’t intentional, why wouldn’t they have accepted the Minsk agreements? There’s no doubt that the US wanted this.

“Europe doesn’t seem to be crumbling or panicking yet”

You have a weird definition of crumbling if 5 times energy rates and rationing hot water are not results of crumbling.

queue the predictable Russian shills...

Anyway, this is a positive sign, if commanders are thinking about life after the war. It makes it less likely that the Russians will go scorched earth and ruin the jewel of the Black Sea.

“I agree with Trump, if Putin doesn’t quit constantly saying the “N-word” then move our submarines into position and tell him to end those threats.”

“Into position”? You mean they stay out of launch range in the first place? News to me.

...Russia would ever give up Crimea. Nukes would fly before that ever happened...

Many medications either in combination or with alcohol can adversely affect cognition and/or reasoning skills. You may want to look into that.

The sweet smell of Victory! Ukraine has won—as I predicted—and was mocked for predicting a Russian failure! All Russians out of all Ukraine! To stay will mean facing the wrath of the Ukraine People. The fighting will be over in a month. Putin out of office and a new democratic Government, like Ukraine’s, in Moscow. Putin will be glad to be alive—But he will be arrested by Ukraine Agents, taken to Holland for an international War Crimes Trial! When found guilty—hanged!

If Russia is really losing as claimed (which I have a hard time believing)...what are the odds they decide to ‘take everyone with them’?

A)The RGF is not the Soviet Military but rather a pale shadow seen in full sun.

B) Zero.

Look you’re obviously a naïve and clueless idiot who drinks all the koolaid, just wait and see what happens 6 months from now. Europe is done, they can’t get gas at a price that would allow them to be economically viable. While the US goes into recession, Europe goes into a full on depression. Just wait and see, everything is pointing in that direction.

Russia is the one hurting

they get zero gas revenues from Europe now, because they shut off the supply

a year ago, they were getting billions of euros every month ... now, nothing

Russia will go bankrupt pretty soon

The Turkstream pipeline is still open, supplying numerous EU countries , Italy, Greece, Hungary, Austria ect and the other Euro fools are paying more than double receiving Russian gas via secondary sources. You really have no idea what you’re talking about, which is probably the reason you seem to be wrong on just about everything in this matte.
