Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) is leading Republican contender Leora Levy by 13 percentage points, according to a new Emerson College Polling/The Hill survey released Wednesday.

The poll found that 49 percent of likely voters in the state said they would vote for Blumenthal if the election for Senate was held today, in comparison to Levy, who received 36 percent support.

I makes one wonder if Richard “Danang Dick” Blumenthal is the Blumen-idiot or if the voters in Connecticut are the Blumen-idiots.

Zero chance for anything but a RINO to have a chance in CT, and almost certainly not even then either. It’s terminal blue.

Why are these Northeast states so liberal? Can someone explain? And I am being serious. I have never spent time up there.

I suspect an actual canvass of actual ballots cast by actual living, breathing voters would be much closer - but the brainwashing is no doubt deep and irreparable.

Connecticut was important to the cause of the American Revolution. The Governor, John Turnbull, was known as “The Rebel Governor”. About 60% of cannon used by the Continental Army were forged in Connecticut. Connecticut had a superb system for militia recruitment, and Connecticut troops were used as an operational reserve by the Continentals. How the once great and free have put themselves into slavery.

No. Most of the New Yorkers in Connecticut are in Fairfield County with a few near Danbury and in the northwest hills. Yale and Wesleyan are hard left and have influence. Liberal Catholic bishops and ethnic Democrats who shed their parents' social values but remain attached to the Democrat Party are a problem.

Elitism in general is a problem. The wealthy areas (Fairfield County, and to a lesser degree places like Cheshire and Bloomfield) tend to generate RINOs.

Rich white liberals. I have family from there and spent summers growing up. I even spent a few weeks attending a CT public school before we moved to a new assignment my Dad had overseas. I had until then attended DOD schools, and the poshness of that Connecticut public school took my breath away. It was swank.

It's because New England is an old industrialized area that was very prosperous and this allowed government to grow and grow as the states were awash in money. Thus, they had unions and more welfare spending and over the decades they became entitlement states. Add to that a robust educational infrastructure which morphed into a leftist indoctrination goliath and you end up with stupid masses. Add to that "diversity" and things go downhill fast.

Shameful that a majority of Connecticut voters would support a man who knowingly lied about being in Vietnam during the Vietnam War when he was not.

Is honor and valor no longer a good thing to Nutmeggers?

Well RINO Themis Klarides ran and lost a primary to Levy - Klarides would have made it closer but she had weaknesses too.
