Two recent Senate midterm polls in the key states of Nevada and Georgia both show the Republican challengers leading the Democratic incumbents with less than two months until the November elections.
In Nevada, the latest Emerson College Polling/8 News Now/The Hill survey revealed that GOP Senate candidate Adam Laxalt is narrowly ahead of incumbent Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto—42 percent to 41 percent.
The poll, conducted between September 8 and September 10 among 1,000 likely voters, is only the second time that the Donald Trump-endorsed Laxalt has beaten Cortez Masto in any of the last seven polls, according to FiveThirtyEight's collection of surveys.

Its the Uniparty club that is the problem
Patton's words come to mind: "I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one behind me."
It is a big stretch, I hope we pick up Arizona, Georgia and Nevada, I think we will lose Pennsylvania giving the GOP a net two gain. New Hampshire is fantasy land for the GOP republicans hate each other there so much they will vote dimwit just to despise the other republican candidate who got beat in the primary
The betting odds, which tend to be more accurate than the polls, still show the Rats favored to win control of the Senate https://electionbettingodds.com/Senate2022.html .
I think both Wizard of Oz and Masters pull out their races. Don’t forget AZ has a nearly 150k GOP registration advantage.
Vance is a cinch. So we “could” be looking at 53-47 with a “MAGA” core of Vance, Masters, Walker, Oz, Laxalt, Budd, Hawley, with “fellow travelers” of Blackburn, Scott, Cruz, Paul maybe a couple of others. This would form enough of a “MAGA core” to seriously shape legislation. By 24, if we could add 4-5 more, now yer talkin’.
I expect a 55/45 GOP advantage in the Senate and at least a 20 seat advantage in the House.
The challenge will then be to prevail over Federal agencies protecting the Deep State.
Before a Ship of State can turn around it must first slow from its current path.
Im’ worried about Alaska with RCV screwing us over like it did in the Palin race.
But that headline!
“Senate Seats the Democrats Need to Hold”
Isn’t that kinda written with a subtle (or maybe not so subtle) message that we “Need” to have Democrats in control?
I hate the media
They would rather control a minority party than lose control of a MAGA majority party.
With a 10 seat advantage the remaining RINOs will have little voice.
If the dems get monkey stomped, expect the most extreme volume 11 scorched earth 2 months of machine gun toxic bills in history
True, but the disapproval also does not automatically translate to approval for Republicans because of how demonized the Republican party as a whole has become. This was not true in 1994 or even 2010. Republicans as a whole were not thought of as Nazis and fascists back then.
Yes, but winter is coming. Just got letter from heating fuel company telling us they are beginning to deliver for the winter. Said they held up because the costs were so high, and prices are slightly lower then the high of $6/ gallon.
People who heat and have a brain are going to go nuts at the high prices.
Name them.
My brother’s family and my sisters family both have wood stoves to help offset fuel prices. A cord of wood is about 250 if you buy it. A little cheaper for us since my brother has a wood splitter. I have 7 acres of woods. 1/2 hardwood, half pine.
Yep, I have 4 sources of heat, it’s good to diversify.
The wave is real and spectacular.
Those celebratory parties will turn everything around, I'm sure. Everyone get up and dance, inflation dropped one-tenth of percentage point! (Of course, it didn't really but those are the lying numbers they're going to use.)
Who thought James Taylor would be a great act to book for a celebration? His music is fine to mellow out or wallow in pity because your dog died but not to get people excited.
