Arizona Can’t Enforce New Election Law in 2022 Election: Federal Judge
The Epoch Times ^

Arizona officials can’t enforce a new election measure in the upcoming midterm elections, according to a federal judge.

Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and other officials shall not “take any action to implement or enforce H.B. 2243 in a manner that would remove any voter’s eligibility to vote in the 2022 general election or disqualify any otherwise-valid ballot on the basis of H.B. 2243,” U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton, a Clinton appointee, said in the Sept. 8 order.

“Democrats have stooped to a new level of shamefulness and depravity with their latest round of lies about Arizona’s common sense laws to ensure that our elections are accessible, secure, and trustworthy,” state Rep. Jake Hoffman, a Republican who sponsored the legislation, told The Epoch Times in an email.

“Democrats’ cries of racism are laughable on their face and serve only to shine a spotlight on the Democrat Party’s long history of institutionalized racism and repeated attempts to disenfranchise millions of Americans throughout the last century and a half. Make no mistake about it, ensuring clean voter rolls and protecting the sanctity of Arizonans’ votes by prohibiting non-citizens and non-residents from casting illegal ballots benefits every single legal voter regardless of race, gender, income, and party.”

These were duly passed laws by the Arizona legislature and signed into law.

This is some major shenanigans and the republican AG, Brnovich, has proven his RINO credentials.

I hate RINO’s more every day. Maybe more than the communist democrats.

Yep, this is about the time that these decisions are due to come down - a couple of months before the election, when appeals are difficult to file and relief implemented.

Amazing how much time we spend attacking the rest of the world regarding their elections, when this crap is going on right at home.

Leftist playbook, Vol. 7, Sec. 13, pg 1,702.

Republicans should have been ready for this. Somehow, Democrats can always find a judge for an 'emergency appeal' but never Republicans, it seems.

Although, we all know the RINOs in AZ are not at all interested in helping MAGA get elected. They would rather the Rats win.

The federal appellate courts should be able to reverse this quickly. When they don't, it's because they don't care. It's more reason to return to 3 judge district court panels before invalidating a state or federal law or regulation.

Go along to get along spineless Republicans have rubber stamped Democrat judicial appointments for 50 years. And it’s paid off very well for the Democrats.

Yet in 2020 many rules regarding elections were changed because of a virus falsely labeled to be dangerous. It was no problem back then. What could be the problem now?

In all cases where a State is a Party to the Action, the Supreme Court SHALL have Original Jurisdiction.

Tell the inferior court to go Pound Sand, then Criminally Charge the Inferior judge with attempted Vote Fraud.

I can understand that thought- at least with commies they are the enemy, while the rinos are betrayers. Betrayers are actually worse in my opinion.

I thought that until there was a violation of the law, there was no standing for judicial review. (as nobody’s rights have been violated)(election hasn’t happened yet) That is one of the things I was told after the 2020 election. (Also the most fair and transparent election EVAH!!!)

I also recall ALL of the courts deciding that the alleged loser of the election had no standing in claiming his Constitutional rights had been violated. (because the Courts refused to even look at evidence to the same.)

Does the Constitution give the courts jurisdiction over legislatures in matters having to do with elections?? Is this something for SCOTUS to settle????

Exactly. And the constitution gives the state control of the election, not black-robed scum.

The big problem is the Arizona AG, a RINO, is in on this travesty of justice. I don’t know if our ‘semi-RINO’ governor would be any help. Probably not. So who is left to fight this for the people of Arizona.

This opens the door for massive election fraud. The same kind and methods that happened in 2020.

I would think that once a bill is signed into law by a state's governor it would require some damned strong evidence to get an injunction to disallow enforcement.

Plus, how is it that a federal judge has anything to say about one state's laws? Oh, that's right, Stat'es rights were just a dream from long ago.

The Supreme Court has been pretty damn clear. Federal Courts have no role in how the states conduct elections. I imagine this will be overturned.

Gotta wonder what the commies promised him to betray his oath of office and screw the people of Arizona.

Probably a job in some posh lawyer firm. He’s bitter his political career is over since he lost his bid for US senate to an America First candidate. If I remember someone else beat him too. Brn came in 3rd. Not even close. Now he has the dreaded RINO label hanging around his neck for life.

This action triple cemented that label forever. Proved it to be true.

I thought federal judges had no jurisdiction over state election procedures.
