Zelensky Will Deliver Keynote Address at U.S. Defense Industry Conference

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be the keynote speaker at a top defense industry conference in Austin, Texas, later this month.

Zelensky’s keynote address at the National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) annual Future Force Capabilities Conference and Exhibition will occur over video on September 21. Zelensky is expected to make his pitch to U.S. defense companies for more weapons to aid in his country’s war with Russia, Reuters reported.

Zelensky will be joined by Ukraine’s minister of defense, Oleksii Reznikov, who will also address the defense industry leaders.

NDIA’s board of directors includes individuals who work for defense industry titans such as Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman.

Although America is in a recession and faced with record-high inflation, President Joe Biden’s Department of Defense announced an additional $675 million weapons package for Ukraine on Thursday. Since Russia invaded the country in February, the United States has provided more than $14 billion in aid to Ukraine.

Zelensky’s address at NDIA’s annual conference would be the latest public appearance while leading his war-torn country.

Most recently, Zelensky virtually rang the New York Stock Exchange opening bell Tuesday, where he encouraged American corporations to invest money into his country.

Zelensky and his wife also posed for Vogue magazine in July, in which he diminished the impact of rising costs and gas prices.

“I will be very honest and maybe not very diplomatic: Gas is nothing … just try to imagine what I’m talking about happening to your home, to your country,” Zelensky told Vogue. “Would you still be thinking about gas prices or electricity prices?”

Criminals pitch to criminals

Send me more stuff

that you don’t pay for
but make a ton selling to people
who you bribe to give them power
so they can borrow more money from China
to give you more money
to sell stuff you don’t pay for
but make a ton of money selling to . . .

This phooking criminal Zelensky should be offering parts of his country and his kidneys to US taxpayers who are footing the bill for it all

Not our war - not our problem - not our young lives

My liberal neighbor thinks we really should send this creep billions. While US grocery prices rose 30% on bread last week . At least at my local Trader Joe, that usually has excellent prices.

Lots of poor US people going to starve unless the gubmint sends food benefits. Covid bennies were $250/month. But that ends soon.
Zelensky and Biden can go suck rocks. And eat them too.

It’s all about sucking in more and more tax dollars. The defense industry is making a fortune off the war in Ukraine and off spreading Russian hatred, so Zelensky will get a very warm welcome.

For those who know their history, is this the time to ask if this is our time’s Spanish Civil War? One of the lessons from that 1936-39 conflict is how men, tactics and weapons were tested before the larger conflict that started in 1939 (Poland). What is the today equivalent of the JU-87 Stukas? The drones as enhanced by GPS?

Are you a Russian or just a dumbass? They are proving they can make damn good use of those weapons we give them. That’s plenty reason to give more. Why am I needing to explain common sense to you fools?

I was going to say this is probably where the “finders fees” are going to be paid to Congress and the Bureaucrats who “arranged” this debacle.

Conservatives have often wondered how Democrats can be motivated to more adequately fund our defense and get some production lines going. Looks like the Russians and anti-defense lefties are doing it for us! ;D

Exactly. He’s made these guys rich beyond their dreams.

Yep - we send old weapons and munitions and these guys and the thousands they employ are collecting nice paychecks to pay their grocery, utility, fuel, and other bills in their respective towns and cities, then building newer, better weapons and munitions for our military.

Hew did not make anyone rich - the Russians invaded his country. We gave them the weapons to defend themselves against butchers, rapists and genocidal maniacs - that’s a bad thing?

Further, whatever the price, its an inexpensive way to eliminate the military of an erstwhile enemy. Or is that a bad thing also?
