“Together we can help stop gun trafficking & keep New Yorkers safe” -- New York Gov. Kathy Hochul

Lawful purchases of guns and ammunition is now "gun trafficking."

Seems like you’d go and buy crypto currency with your credit card, then turn around to buy ammo/guns with the crypto.

Oh look, people are now saying use cash. I have been using cash for purchases for decades and could not care less about not getting the cash back from credit cards.

How does the credit card know whether I’m buying ammo or something else? All they should see is a charge at the shooting range.

The local gun store I use has a credit company store branded card (Synchrony). I get 6 mos no interest up to 699.00, and 12 mos no interest over that. Synchrony services several sports retailers. I would guess that there are others that do the same, Academy comes to mind, and im sure they know what has been purchased. f visa and master(bait) card.

If guns are under $500, you can use gift cards too-

Backdoor gun registration. They’ll know who owns guns and what calibers.

There’s really no getting around the tracking aspect of it all. Even if you pay cash, they still use facial recognition cameras everywhere - so you’re going to get “busted”.

It’s not illegal (yet), and if you think you’re not on some list you are incredibly naive, because I can promise you that you are.

I’d give others cash to put my ammo and accessories on their credit cards. Instead of it looking like fewer ammo and firearm accessory buyers, it would look like exponentially more.

...which is all why “they” need to kill off all forms of cash -— so EVERYTHING you buy can be part of your Comprehensive Consumer Profile, which should tell a lot about just who you are, and what you’re likely to do.

There was something about Visa telling them to pound sand. The ISO only puts out standards. If the government doesn’t require the standard to be followed then you don’t have to.

Anybody who thinks this is just about tracking is a fool. This is so they can refuse the transaction.

Criminals don’t use credit cards to buy guns. This proves what I have said a million times:

They plan to take guns from honest, non-violent citizens while leaving them in the hands of violent criminals.

When I was living in kalifornia, a shooter murdered two sleeping campers with a Marlin Camp Carbine. The police went to all the pertinent FFLs and "asked" for their 4473s. All the FFLs complied.

The police then went to all the purchasers of the Marlin CC and "asked" for the guns so that ballistics could be checked. All owners complied.

This was in the Sacramento Bee, a liberal rag. I was surprised they reported this.

The killer was never found but, we learned one thing, viz. if you've ever filled out a 4473, you're potentially on their radar. All they need to do is confiscate the paperwork, because it never goes away.

I’ve never used anything but cash for 2A related purchases ever. I’ve made purchases over the years and would bet heavily there aren’t any three guys on the planet who, together, could lift it all in one go.

If you need anything better buy it now. The advice to “sell your cloak and buy a sword” is still valid .
