The White House on Tuesday tried to clarify and walk back President Joe Biden’s repeated condemnation of Republicans who supported former President Donald Trump.
“He’s been very clear when he’s talked about MAGA Republicans, Ultra MAGA Republicans. He’s talked about the leadership in the Republican Party,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said during the daily briefing on Tuesday.

The old adage goes: You may forget what someone says to you but you never forget how they made you feel.
Doesn’t matter. We know what they think of us. And we know what we think of them.
It seemed that Joe tried to walked it back on Monday than on the next day he is in the full blast mode into going after Trump and his MAGA supporters.

Stop trying to butter it up.
Even while walking back what Biden says, they control the dialog. The Republicans, except for Trump, say nothing. The “press” would rather sound scatter-brained than say anything.

I have yet to see anyone taking credit for Thursday night's speech. It must have not had the desired results...lol.
The more he's on the trail, the better it is for the Republicans. It's a constant reminder of how awful he is as President.
O/T, if I had the money, and an updated passport, I would have offered my own rebuttal to Joe's speech, from the grounds at Dachau Concentration Camp. It's been over 40 years, but the sense of evil is locked in my memory. The contrast in imagery and style would be striking.
It would take me back 42 years, when I was a 26 YO 1st LT in Germany. In the weeks before the 1980 election, my German neighbors pleaded with me to vote for Carter, they were sure that Reagan would start WWIII.
In my many conversations in the local gasthaus, I stuck to a main theme, that the world is a safer place when America is strong...and those conversations were conducted entirely in German.
42 years later, it remains true that the world is a safer place when America is strong, and I'm not feeling very safe at the moment.
What she is saying is actually worse than what Joe said...
“You have leaders in the Democrat Party who are offering extreme, extreme agenda. And so that’s what he means,” she said.
There, fixed it.
He was too early? He should have waited until everything was in place for mass arrests and a certain number of opposition leaders to get shot “while resisting arrest.”
“White House struggles to walk back Joe Biden...” Insert next thing. That’s about all they do; cleanup on aisle 5.
