Russia switches off Europe’s main gas line until sanctions are lifted

Russia’s gas supplies to Europe via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline will not resume in full until the “collective west” lifts sanctions against Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin has said.

Dmitry Peskov, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, blamed EU, UK, and Canadian sanctions for Russia’s failure to deliver gas through the key pipeline, which delivers gas to Germany from St Petersburg via the Baltic sea.

“The problems pumping gas came about because of the sanctions western countries introduced against our country and several companies,” Peskov said, according to the Interfax news agency. “There are no other reasons that could have caused this pumping problem.”

Peskov’s comments were the most stark demand yet by the Kremlin that the EU roll back its sanctions in exchange for Russia resuming gas deliveries to the continent.

Putin is in a panic. He cancelled the Kherson referendum today, too. His dream is collapsing right in front of his eyes.

Western countries need to end the stupid Suicide Sanctions immediately.

Right after Putin leaves Ukraine.

Removing sanctions is the condition Europe will have to meet in order to get the gas turned back on.

Its like training a puppy...the sanctions are annoying so Europe must learn how to behave properly.

Russia is teaching Europe not to chew on its slippers. 😃

Trump was right

I suggest Europe continue to hold their breath, until Putin leaves. Any. Day. Now.

Europe is building a fence instead. Now the dog will stay out of Asia and won’t bother the grumpy old man.

After six months Putin knows his corrupt and incompetent army can’t win this war. So all he can do is try force Ukraine to surrender. That’s where all this delegitimizing of Ukraine’s defense comes from. They are “NATO puppets”, “nazis”, “the war is foolish”, etc. It’s all classic Bolshevik gaslighting from the Kremlin and its useful idiots.

The sanctions have failed
———-
Exactly, Biden’s sanctions have failed miserably. He was the “ ringleader.” That is the root cause. Weaponizing the dollar and the US freezing ( stealing) another nations money has ignited the decline of the US and the West. The formation of the Russian, Chinese, Indian, South American, Islamic anti- American alliance ( almost three quarters of the worlds population) is historic.

Stated factually, Russia’s counter- sanctions have been very successful in bringing the West to their knees. Vlad holds all the cards. They have already won the war, matters not what happens on the Ukie field of battle ( Russia will not ever withdraw from the ethnic Russian territories).

The West’s suffering has only begun. Without calls for negotiations, they will suffer immeasurably. We can thank Biden’s war cheerleaders and the years long “ Russian Derangement Syndrome” in crippling the West in many ways still unseen.

Ultimatums are made to others when you hold all the cards. Otherwise they are ignored.

The point is that Europeans and Americans are the ones paying for the insistence that Russia leave Ukraine before the Suicide Sanctions are ended.

The cost of that is too high.

Europe pretended to hold all the cards and will now have to light any cards they actually have on fire to stay warm this Winter.

Russia’s ultimatum regarding the sanctions rollback is certainly being ignored. Looks like Europe thinks Putin’s hand sucks.

Once you retake Kherson, I’ll be the first to admit there’s a Ukie/west victory.

Until then, it’s been a fundraiser.
