Good sum up. It got me thinking though... liberals as a term doesn’t work any more. Liberalism believes in freedom of speech, no authoritarian governments and so on. Most modern democrats aren’t liberals. As far as conservatism goes... I am not conservative. I want change. We need new terms to describe what many of them are and what many of us are.

I'm with you. Describing today's events with fifty year old terms doesn't work. I rather carry no label and no affiliation.
