Former United States President Donald Trump commented on his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, referring to it as "great." Trump said that during his presidency US relations with Russia helped trade and manufacturers, and added that the war in the Ukraine and Taiwan crisis would have never happened if had remained president.
He stated that he is in favor of the Russian system of dealing with drug dealers by putting them to "quick trial" and executing them, which is what the former president heard from Putin, to whom he referred as "smart" and "a king," given that the Russian leader is president for life.

It appears that the tolerant and inclusive thing is to just pound the war drums constantly instead.
What a poorly written article, they don’t even get the basic facts right. It was the Chinese that he said dealt with drug dealers by putting them to “quick trial” and executing them.
The Ukraine war would have never happened under Trump. He would have never ineptly (or corruptly) managed things the way the globalists and the 10% for the big guy crowd did and continue to do.
No...he said it is the Chinese who have “quick trial”.
Rest of this article is twisting the meaning of what DJT said.
Yes he is and he didn’t give Putin a pipe line but Biden did.
Why would Trump make a statement like that in the middle of all this ? Only thing I can think of is his advisers are overestimating the support for Putin among his base and asking him not to alienate them. So he is avoiding taking sides by saying ‘the war would have never happened under him’ over outright condemnation of Putin. Mr President, the misguided Putin lovers among your base (excluding obvious Russian disinformation agents disguised as American conservatives who post on various forums) are a small minority. Very loud, very vocal, very idiotic - but a minority. You can safely ignore them.

Maybe.
As war approaches - the western bankrupt nations pushing it - maybe Trump was emphasizing that he alone among the last 4 presidents did not start wars and ended them.
I’d guess most Americans are tired of endless wars.
Yes, Trump was talking about Xi. This person obviously didn’t watch the speech, or they’re lying.
I have no doubts that without the influence of the neocons stinking things up behind Trump’s back, great things could have been accomplished toward respect and a more peaceful world.
Trump isn’t a neocon warmonger. He would have negotiated a peaceful solution.
There is no point to what the Biden regime and neocon RINO backers are doing to Ukraine.
It is all for their Leftist World Order because they don’t give a Rat’s arse about those people.
You need to listen to Trump instead of reading articles about what he said. The little excerpt makes it clear they have no desire to take Trump in context or understand what he said. It’s basically written to get your reaction. Are they really that much smarter than you that they know just how to push your buttons and you let it happen?
Like it or not...you have to work with these leaders...And that's exactly what Trump did.
This will get the Zekensky knee pad brigades here in tithers
“Mr President, the misguided Putin lovers among your base are a small minority.”
Actually, quite a few of us fear our government FAR MORE than what Putin does in his backyard. Last month it was 87,000 new IRS Agents, and this month it is the end of the gasoline automobile by 2035*. Good only knows what happens if the Democrats win in November.
The people in a real tizzy about Putin are the ones who hated him long before Ukraine and used him as a club to attack Trump, and the Globalists/Neocons who understand that if Putin wins, their plans for world domination (including replacing meat with insects) will be crushed.
*note that Putin had nothing at all to do with these policies
Um, WRONG!
I am yet to meet any conservatives who support sending out to the tune of close to $70 billion to a corrupt, sleazy, dictatorial Zelensky regime, with no strings attached.
President Trump is exactly right. as usual. And, there would be no war in Ukraine if President Trump were still President. This started with the disastrous, humiliating Afghanistan withdrawal from Biden.
Wouldnt have ever been a conflict of this sort under Trump.
Russia is using its oil and gas as leverage. With Trump he would have never had that leverage.
As soon as Pig Face son of a bitch Biden stopped all investments in Oil and Gas production in this country, Putin saw that as a green light...took just ONE YEAR, for them to get set up for this conflict.
The world is going to pay forever for one stolen election.
