Chicago receives first migrant bus from Texas

Chicago received the latest bus of migrants courtesy of the Lone Star State. On Wednesday evening, a bus carrying 80 to 100 individuals, largely from Venezuela, pulled into the Windy City’s Union Station. The migrants originally crossed the southern border from Mexico into Texas.

The move is part of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s program to show so-called sanctuary cities the strain of Joe Biden’s border crisis. The governor called upon Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to make good on her promise to accept the new arrivals, regardless of immigration status, and give overrun border towns some much needed relief. Lightfoot bashed the Republican for the stunt while calling it inhumane.

...

Chicago is the third Democrat-run city to receive migrants as New York and Washington D.C. have already been receiving shipments from Texas. Governor Abbott has touted both cities as perfect destinations for migrants, highlighting the services New York Mayor Eric Adams advertised to sanctuary seekers.

What would happen is REPUBLICANS received these migrants in Chicago, and OFFERED help if they would sign up to vote TRUMP, setting up data base, offering to ‘assist’, if only they will reject the Socialism in the country from which they fled. I wonder how long the Democrats would stand by idle..if they saw it might be a voting bonanza for them to vote in States where no I.D is required... It might upset the apple cart. I see some of these people probably are really against socialism from which they fled.

I think it’s cruel to illegals to send them to Chicago, but hey! Illegally crossing the border and pissing on American sovereignty has its consequences.

Lightfoot bashed the Republican for the stunt while calling it inhumane.

Hey Lightfoot: You're going to need replacements for all those being gunned down every single day in Chicago. You should be welcoming them to help pay for city services and funerals.

Chicago:

Year To Date

Shot & Killed: 429

Shot & Wounded: 2002

Total Shot: 2431

Total Homicides: 471

“80-100”

Lori says that’s inhumane but...

By this weekend, 14 will have been wounded by gunfire...6 more will be dead.

Interesting idea, but, typically these immigrants are very vulnerable to offers of cash assistance that come with Prog Socialist chains attached.

Free housing, free food, vote Rat.

Republicans won't/can't offer the freebies, Rats use Taxpayer dollars to do so.

Sending them to Chicago could be considered inhumane. If they’re dropping them in East Garfield Park or Pullman, anyway.

“show so-called sanctuary cities the strain”

Or rather Texas is helping them fulfill their desire to be sanctuaries.

Well, if Biden is not going to send them back than I think Chicago is a good place to send them. I’d love to see some going to Biden’s home town, Scranton, prior to the November elections. And perhaps a few to Philly and Pittsburg as well.

I think the Yankees are paying the freight to have the Cubans sent to NY.

I didn’t think about that. Of course, a flood of illegals hasn’t helped the pitiful Diamondbacks much.

.gihTfoot needs to explain why it’s “inhumane” In her state, but not inhumane in Texas!

Love that Abbott is exposing The sheer lu acy and blatant hypocrisy of the left by giving them even just a small taste of what they have dished out to Texas for decades! It’s a brilliant plan! Such fun wa5dhing the hypocrites on the left fall all to pieces and stomp their feet and hold their breath in protest lol!
