I am inclined to agree with him on this.
Frankly I think we've already crossed a line that is impossible to redraw but I don't have to be happy about it. Illegal imprisonment? Check. Deadly riots managed by the ruling class? Check. Corruption of the legal system? Check. Show trials? Check. Nearly universal media collusion? Check. Corporate cooperation in surveillance and harassment? Check. Fixed elections? Check. Censorship? Check. Forced and illegal demographic change? Check. Open threats of military violence against political opponents? Check. Private armies? Working on it. Confiscation of the means to resist? Working on it.
The notion that we're being sucked into a violent response that will evoke state violence in response is, sadly, becoming less of an objection as the offenses pile up. Not responding to a bully encourages more abuse, not less.
